ok groundbreaker becomes a 8/3 and comes back next turn with the persist a 7/2 and keeps coming back!!!!!!!

nice. Just so you can learn form my experience. When a creature returns form persist that was given form a outside source, it is a new permanent. This means it looses persist. If the enemy can kill it twice in one turn, then it can be stopped.

Correct, but a creature with innate persist such as a Woodfall Primus can persist infinitely given the correct circumstances. If only there were a method of thus untapping that Cauldron, then we would have something good
