Starting with you, each player may pay any amount of life. Repeat this process until no one pays life. Each player creates a 1/1 black Rat creature token for each 1 life they paid this way.

Ok, so get out a soul warden or two, or three or however many you want. then play plague of vermin. you can pay your entire life total and not lose any life, but have that many rats. if any of the other players put any out, you gain that much life, and once it gets back to you, do it all over again.
