I like it since you can power it up to block, take any damage, then pay the rest of the life at the end of the turn.

This would be a great basis for a deck. 4 Near Death Experiences, 4 Demonic Tutors, 4 Wall of Bloods, and 4 Hatreds.

haha excellent I threw in the land tax because well nobody knows any white excell except manamorphos haha.
