Does anyone agree with me that if someone had a deck like this there would be no point to playing magic?

From the cards you're using, it appears you're playing Vintage. Since that's the case, this combo is ridiculously slow and underpowered. There's at least 10 different cards I could stop this with even if you go first. If I go first, you might as well start makng a new deck. I still remember my first game of MTG, it made me want to quit before I even started. I'll post it so you can see what a real opening hand looks like.

Real opening hand Stasis Kismet Chronatog 2x Black Lotus Island. Yeah it happened. In super casual. Drew One blue card to go with other one in my hand. Its called force of will. Totally ruined two spirit guides and a naturalize

I'm sure there are no cards to stop your super deck Paradox.

My point was that there are cards to stop any opening hand. This is what makes Magic a great game, not retarded.

actually thats not just vintage, its also legacy

and that is called Reanimator, and is one of the top 10 decks at Star City Games' last 5k tournaments.  it plays pretty quickly and pretty consistently.  It continues to wreck my face, unless im playing MUD Aggro or Brown Stax

Even if you had something to try to stop that hand, I could still have a Force of Will in my hand.

The point isn't that it can be stopped, the point is that the likeliness of stopping something like that is close to nil. The game has just become a race for who can pull of the biggest quickest combo and do a one turn win.

Magic has become very much like Yugio, very powerful junk with no drawbacks. It becomes less and less fun to play.

All you need to do is have a mox pearl, play silence, and if you can't counter that, you won't be able to do anything.

yah, the decks name is Reanimator.  and its a pain in the ass lol.

MUD Aggro, or Brown Stax destroys it tho.

Fish stands a pretty good chance too, since even if they dont counter it with a Daze or a FoW, then they still just use Aether Vial to pop in Merfolk and om nom your face off.

it can wreck my deck that my friend and i came up with (we named it Urotsokudoji) but its basically a foodchain deck.  still need an answer in blue other than unsummon, preferably in critter form (probably Man-o-War) to bounce iona so i can still go off. (if they name green i gotta bounce her or counter her or the deck is dead in the water.  if they name blue im set, cuz ill just use the new green instant to tear her a new one.)

Naya Zoo MIGHT have some trouble with her, but as it contains white, they prlly have paths in Sideboard.

my point is, that any really competitive deck has ways to deal with overpowered combos.  and thats what legacy is all about.  playing, and stopping, OP combos. (like Bant Survival....my buddy placed 1st with his version of it at the recent 1k event here...that deck is RETARDED good. )
