You can shortcut through the two other of FoD\'s activation by using the Shields of Velis Vel...

Nice, but still having to pay the 6 r/w mana for the last ability makes it a later in the game combo.

Actually, you can use a Seething Song, A few Desperate Rituals or a few Rite of Flames... Or other mana producers...
