also, this doesnt work, unfortunately.

" All cards that aren't in play, spells, and permanents are colorless."
so you cant transmute them out, since nothing is a permanent while in hand, its still just a spell at that point, so they are just colorless, not artifacts.

How about you sneak a creature then return it with the Transmuter then play a DC or Platinum Angel?
