This is an easy way to implement Maelstrom Archangel into a green deck.

She will help you out alot with those costly green spells.

1. Get 6 lands
2.Use divergent growth and tap your lands to make 1 of every type.
3.Equip Maelstrom Archangel with Viridian Longbow.
4. Tap it to deal 1 damage to your opponent then play whatever you want (except for land lol ) from your hand.

If you want to get a little more out of it you could always use snake umbra so that you may also draw a card.

Heck you could even use this to get out Emrakul, the aeons torn out way before his time.

sorry this does not work, the angel requires you to do combat damage, which is damage done while on the attack, pinging your opponent with the longbow would not trigger her ability.

since your playing green giving her trample would work well

I guess replace the longbow with Vorrac Battlehorns and attack.

double strike would get her 2 combat damage hits.
