Turn 1: Swamp, sacrifice Lotus Petal, Isochron Scepter, Remove Hoodwink from the game.

Turn 2: Swamp, Dark Ritual, play Braids, Cabal Minion. Now depending on what your opponent did on his first turn, he sacrifices whatever, when it comes to your turn, after untap step, tap both your swamps to bring back Lotus Petal to your hand with Isochron Scepter. At your upkeep, sacrifice one of your swamps, play another, and then you'll always have Lotus Petal to drop, sacrifice it and return it, repeat this process every turn, so you don't have to sacrifice anything else but Lotus Petal. Now again see how your opponent played and it could be a funny finish.............

how are you getting lotus petal back? if you hoodwink it you still have to sacrifice an artifact, creature or land.

I think that he is trying to sacrifice the Lotus Petal for mana, then return it in response with the Hoodwink.

However, this won't work. Part of the cost of the card is to sacrifice it. You pay the cost, then the ability triggers.

Are you talking about returning lotus petal from the graveyard to owner's hand?
If yes, Hoodwink needs the target to be in play...

OR

Are you talking about bouncing the Petal before it was sacrificed?
If yes, then this also won't work because activation cost is much faster than any instant/interrupts... Once, you paid it, the sacrificing cost can't be stopped...

Or to make it even easier, Remove a Boomerang instead of Hoodwink, and Return Braids at the end of their turn, and recast it after your upkeep. But this will require at least four swamps so like a turn 4 boot.

Or you can have Stifle on the stick, will also work. In fact, Stifle would be the best bet because it can start on turn 2  :O
