Play Jwari Shapeshifter or Clone and make a replication of itself. It forever clones itself and dies but at the same time is alive therefore causing a wormhole in time and space. Life as we know it is flipped upside down. Black becomes White, Up becomes Down, Life becomes Death, Fantasy becomes Reality.

Interesting approach, but I think it has to choose a creature already on the battlefield before it enters play.

Yeah, the clone would already need to be in play so it doesn't work

That's why you get two shape shifters!

  • Shapeshifter 1 comes into play, and must choose to copy something, chooses a creature A or dies
  • Shapeshifter 2 comes into play, and must chooses to copy Shapeshifter 1, Shapeshifter 2 becomes a copy of Shapeshifter 1 which is a copy of creature A.
Resutle: you have two copies of creature A

You could have something to boost creatures by +0/+1 and then bring the first clone into play without copying a creature.

Then the second one targets the first and enters the battlefield as something that says "this may enter the battlefield as a copy of target creature."

So there is that fine line about whether there is an intermediate step before being in play known as "entering step" or something (ask gault, he knows more than I do about timing and priority). Suppose for a moment there isn't: no problem, because there is no "entering play" trigger, it's perfectly fine. The copied clone enters play as a zero/zero. If there is: you might get some sort of loop (like the poster is suggesting) where you'd get the option to continually choose a creature to copy, and this will continue until the caster makes up his mind and either choses a new creature or choses not to copy.

It would be a black hole, not a worm hole.
