It doesn't win a mulitplayer game, but it does kill one opponent per turn, and gives you lots of life while your at it. One on one it is GG.

Yep. The bonds may seem like a bit of a threat, but the ogre is highly under rated. Because of that he is not to likely to become the target until they see the life link on him.

It already post as a threat alone... Even a bigger threat with other cards like CoP: Red and that combo of yours...

Since Heartless Hidetsugu ability hits you to it is a partialy suicidal technique. It is a threat as a 4/3 which is not to bad to take down. He has combo potential, but without a combo, he is a 5 mana for 4/3, which isn't that good. His ability sucks without a combo. If you are ahead he hurts you more than your opponent, which may make you killable. And if you are behind, then you will definitely make your self more killable. If you have little life left, then self pain is a bad idea, and if you are ahead It is a bad idea, because you may give you opponent a advantage he can use to win. Heartless Hidetsugu HAS to combo, or his ability is horabile.

to keep it all black and standard.

Edit: That would be Blood Tribute, how do you post images on this forum?

use the image button. it is below the text formating buttons (bold itilac underline). It's the picture of the mountian. That said, where is the image of the cards. This is only one image, where do i find them all. Also that works, but requires a vampire, meaning a vampire deck. This is a rackdos deck which is nice in it's own way.

Ya, I've been burned by Blood Tribute--Sanguine Bond combo too many times. I used to run with Disenchants (and the like) but got away from them. Back to having enchantment/artifact removals in my decks. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks psyche, but i don't see the formatting buttons. I do get a message saying it doesn't support my browser so that could be it.

Is there a tag I can put around the image location?

The card pictures can be found at http://gatherer.wizards.com
Just open card image in new tab and you have the location.

If you can equip Basilisk Collar onto that creature, you don't even need Sanguine Bond.

The sanguine bond makes it a kill. The half of life they lost wont kill them, thought it will hurt. The bond makes them loose life when i gain life (the life they lost) for lifelink.

It is rounded down, so if they have an odd number of life then it will leave them at 1

. . . Right?

no it will kill them,

the reason why is heartless does damage to your opponent equal to half the life rounded down, you then gain that much life, they then lose that much life due to bond -which would leave them at 1 life, however, heartless also did damage to you which you gained life from, so that will equal your opponet getting half of your life removed from their total as well.
