Not a game ending combo but i think its pretty nasty.
have chronatog in play with 1 - 4 coretappers
play smokestack and sac coretappers to put as many charge (soot) counters on it.
end turn skip your next turn, for every 2 coretappers sac'd this way they loose double the permanents each turn and you keep skipping not being affected.
There are many more cards to complement this i just put the basic combo up.

Doesn't work, coretapper only puts charge counters, not soot ones.

wouldn't the charge counter just be a generalized terms for any counter on an artifact? that is how i thought it worked.

Well thanks for some cards that will work. Making a lockdown/annoy deck and i wanted something along the lines of this and it  would just be painful to get off.

Nope, different types of counter are separate and have no interaction with each other (with the exception of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters cancelling each other out).

Adding charge counters will not help the smokestack.

Most artifacts use charge counters now, lately Wizards are trying to reduce the different types of counters needed (older cards have wacky stuff for counters)
