heartstone was there FIRST! That and not everyone has a boatload of rares from rise of eldrazi I have world at war hellion erruption rage nimbus and thats it!

Yeah, Training Grounds destroys the usefulness of Heartstone. It is way stronger.

But hearstone is colorless, so in decks that can't afford to splash blue, heartstone proves more useful.
