Twogun Kid threw me the infinite mana (+1 red) with Grinning Ignus and Ruby Medallion... Just add Dragonstorm. You play the spell to keep getting mana so you can get as many dragons out into play as you want. on turn three.

Really good for Storm!

I'f I can get a Ruby Medallion, I can pull this off for infinite damage.

Wait? Grinning Ignus's cost is reduced to 1R instead of 2R. you pay R to return him back to your hand and you gain 2R. how is that infinite mana?!

Look.

Lets say you have RRR in your mana pool.

1) You play Grinning Ignus for 1R and you have R left.

2) You use his ability and pay R to get him back to your hand and add 2R to your mana pool.

So you basically start with RRR and end up with 2R. I dont see how that is infinite mana. I do see how it is good for storm abilities but other then that whats the point!?

@ Mike: Drop the ignus with the medallion in play. tap R he goes back to your hand you get 2R in your pool. Then he only costs 1R to play, you get one generic. it bounces infinitely giving you a mana every time.

the cost, and what you get back are the same. If the cost is 1 then reducing his casting cost by 1 makes it free to bounce him as much as you want. He doesn't give mana, or lose mana. If you can hard cast the storm -1 (form the ruby) you can make the storm go off as much as you want.

Isn't storm the # of spells played BEFORE this turn, as in your opponents turn

storm is the number of spells played  in the same turn before the storm spell was played

Mike is right with what he is saying it isn't infinite mana or infinite storm, it is limited by the number of red mana you can produce.  reason being is that it costs 2 red mana to bounce and play the ingus, however, you only get 1 red from the bounce, you have to pay the other red somehow.
