So let me know if this is legal or not.  Pay the two mana to cycle the gem palm polluter and then before that finishes use unholy grotto to put him on the top of your library thus allowing you to repeat.  This sounds fishy but I read on another site that it was legal.

as is, it does not work, but add a second gempalm polluter to the fray, and have it on the top of the library or in the graveyard before you cycle the first, then it will (just need a way to repeatedly untap that land to do it more... :P ) also this relies on you having lots of zombies in play

Actually, it does work, so long as you use spell stack.

Part 1: Pay mana cost and discard Gempalm
Part 2: In reaction put Gempalm on top of your library
Part 3: Then Gempalm does damage and you draw a card

Remeber cost:effect
{B}{B}, Discard this card : Draw a Card, Target player loses life.
Also you have a period to react at the ":"

Its ture. Discarding is a cost, so it occours as it goes onto the stack. The palm will be in the graveyard when the effect is on the stack, So if you put the land's effect on the stack before the palm's cycling ability resolves, he would be in the graveyard when the lands resolves (first on last off), making him a legit target.
