This is awesome. Stealing creatures is always fun! Too bad it's only until end of turn. :(

Read again. Amoeboid's ability only lasts until end of turn.

a cards characteristics are applied in a series of layers, which determine differant aspects of the card as a result effects that control a creature are applied in layer 2, while affects that apply to creature type are in Layer 4.

So when this combo is done first layer 4 is overwritten and then layer 2 is overwritten.  Since it was stipliated that the type change end at end of turn At the beginng of the end of turn the overwritting effects of layer 4 go away so it reverts back to its orginal type, however, the only stipliation for ending the layer 2 change was that the champion had to leave play or owners control.  as a result overwritting of layer 2 does not go away back at the end of turn so the new owner keeps control, until the stiplation is met

I love oldschool cards being put to work *wipes single tear from eye*

Anyway, since magic in tournaments is dictated by the comprehensive rules on the wizard site itself, can anyone direct me to the rule segment that deals with changing characteristics of a target?

Now every non-pro, non-shroud creature will bow down to the Champion..

I have actually been splashing blue in my thrull deck just for this combo.  What is the general opinion?

Do or Don't?

What blue? A few counter spells, maybe some draw and discard depends on your thrull deck

Blue would be only for the changeling and draw.
