If I'm not mistaken, Thoughtweft Gambit would tap Progenitus too, given that it's a mass spell.

Eh, it works , but.......Wrath of God or Damnation would be much simpler. If Progenitus is on the table, then my creatures become expendable.....I want him gone. Same concept with Emrakul, or any other game winner.

i misread the gambit, I was looking for something to untap opponents creatures.

Anyway, you're right, taunting elf and venom would do the trick too.

protection is unbolckable by the color, can't be targeted by the color, and can't take damage from the color. Global effects still occour.

Yup, and Progenitus can block thus triggering the Venom ability...
