My dad set up a block on my wireless network. Can anyone help me bypass it?

Or did he block your computer, but if your dad did this as a punishment you shouldn't go behind his back

What do you mean block? As in a firewall?

I could explain pinging websites, but I don't know if it will work.

Hmmmm, like Lin-sivvi said, you can try pinging the website's ip address...
type this in ms-dos:

ping <website>
ex: ping google.com

This will output an ip address with other stuff that i don't know about...
get that ip address then copy it on the address bar of your web browser then you're good to go (that is if it works)...

You can also use proxy sites... Example: www.kproxy.com

I have already tried proxy sites and they don't work. It is a keyword block that searches for anything in the URL or on the actual webpage.

It sounds like it's a piece of software he installed on your computer, which is integrated with your browser(s) to prevent you from browsing sites with specific content.  Did he install anything on your computer?

It says Netgear filter. When he turns it on again, I will get a print screen picture of it.

He didn't install anything.

try using the ping method... If it doesn't work... try Proxifier or something...

One thing you can do if you're up to a challenge, is use a program like VB to create your own web browser, that is so basic it can't support the blocker (this does work most of the time).

My friend knows a lot about programming and has Visual Basic installed. I will ask him about it.
