Title: most annoying creature type to play against?

so, i was hanging with some friends yesterday, and we were playing magic,
one of them was using a merfolk deck...
holy shit, it was REALLY good, i never realised how crazy merfolk decks are before...

what creature types do you ABSOLUTELY hate playing against?

And rebels (Not only are they a pain to play against, but they are also a pain to play with, really, those turns just start taking too long (the hurry up and kill me is a phrase I hear all together too much))

Actually I hate a good elf deck... I've seen some shitty attempts that were pointless. Then I've seen an elf deck that is truly terrorizing.

I'd loathe it less if I had enough wizards to build a deck around while having my creatureless deck get slaughtered if it makes it out and gains shroud somehow

HAHA, ive wanted to make a wizard deck for SOOOO long! those things are really good :P

Beasts,
those can be really annoying,
PERFECT example, look at some of the zendikar beasts...
felidar soveriegn, rampaging baloths, timbermaw larva...


but all in all, merfolk THE worst, they boost eachother up, have islandwalk, can do stuff do counter spells, etc...
other than that,
vampires are second worst (if these decks are done right; you can be killed by one in 3 or 4 turns...)
and elves...

soldiers are another annoying type, they boost eachother up and get HUGE armies of them...
with coat of arms, it ends up like facing off against HUGE armies of HUGE creatures,
10 10/10's? 20 20/20's? you get my point...

and angels are really annoying as well...
if ANY of you have played against someone who uses luminarch ascensions.. you'll know what im talking about :P

i find sliver decks and people playing elzari decks arn't hard to beat. faries are killer if made right.

any deck can be good an a threat if made right.  but in the long term years of the game elves are probally the biggest tribal threat, faries and merfolk were crap(other then a few cards) until lorwyn, and while faries died off merfolk are hanging on a little longer barely.  Vamps are a threat due to the recent additions to them but beyond m10 and zendikar they don't amout to much.  Elves on the other hand have gained new additons to there already impessive number with each passing block, there pumps, lifegain, accel, and mass reproduction have always made them a problem to deal with.

golbins would be in the running to byut their explosive nature keeps the numbers down

Not true geracult.  Really, So types just don't work (the wishing for plague rats deck, as cool as it may be, just doesn't cut it.) but for the most part you are right

plague rats, paradox haze, followed footsteps, mirrorweave (to turn your opponents creatures into plague rats), some removal/counters to by time, token generation for mirrorweave, maybe splash green for parallel evolution

kavereak amazing (shaman) leaf crowned elder (shaman) vampire nighthawk (shaman) all really good cards druids you have khamal and baru that are really good unseen walker though it may be a dryad

all in all, id say merfolk are the best,

if your running a good merfolk deck,
then by about turn 3 you can have 4 5/5 merfolk creatures...



Aether vial is REALLY good in merfolk decks, especially cause most merfolk only cost 3 (converted cost)

and yeaa, elves are REALLY good too, but they dont have the advantage that merfolk have of being blue (blue is probably one of the best colours in general EX: counterspell, unsummon, clone, etc...)
but elves are really good...

now hold on a minute, call me confused but i think the question was type of creature you hate playing against.  many of you are saying that these guys are bad if they are designed right... to be blunt anyone can make a tribal deck that is nasty fif you design it right, HOWEVER! I have a personal issue with eldrazi, PERIOD. 15 mana gets a 15/15 with anhilator 6!? oh sure you so screwed with the mana cost arent you! how many of us have been easily able to pul a progenitus witha card like elvish piper, or polymorphed a token we control to transform it into the ONE creature in our deck like Iona?  sure if you hard cast the sucker you get an extra turn... you know, I could easily pass that up the extra late game, for a turn four (or even earlier if your lucky and you built your deck with mana excelleration) 15/15 monster that when I attack with it my opponent has to fork up 6 permanents BEFORE they can even block.  that isnt even counting the 7/11 guy that has the additional ability of pay 20 mana of any color cast any and all eldrazi spells from outside game for free! with the eldrazi spawns and the new lands, this is not as hard as one would assume!

I hate illusions.

They seem so easy to kill and they always end up being a pain because I don't want to waste a card or see it's secondary effect fizzle because the target is no longer there and by the time you can target them there is something that is protecting them that you have to take care of first! ARGH!

The only reasons wizards suck to pay against is because they always have card advantage and counters! Everyone hates getting their stuff countered!

Most annoying creature type....hmmm, let me think....

Worst to me would be Merefolk, and Fairies (but I am just bias towards Blue anyways)

Slivers would be third place

Ninjas and Rogues both come in Fourth

Vampires have potential to become a new hate for me.

Eldrazi are not really bad, but Emrakul is just F(#K!%G annoying if played (usually by elves in my experience)

Elves never really bother me due to the fact that I play mass removal or spot removal for key cards. Also there are only two strategies for Elves: 1. horde and be big. 2. Massive mana and combo for the kill

Goblins are pests, but thats why they are so fun

Allys are also pest, but they are fun

Most annoying to play against by far is Wizards... At least with Elves, Goblins, Vampires, Merfolk, etc... game is done quickly.

Against Wizards, your spells get countered, you just sit there and watch as your opponent plays virtual solitaire Magic...

The Soldier deck is really hard to play against, it's very consistent, defensiveness and fast.
But the deck that I most hate it's not tribal: In multiplayer games, when one of the opponents have a entire deck UB made by only counters/destroys.... it's really something that give a plenty of angry. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

entirely cause of that stupid infinite combo with thopter foundry and sword of the meek and that think for sacrificing artifacts.

(P.S. i realise i havent posted anything in a while, so sorry - although i doubt anyone cares)

For me, the most annoying to play against are:
1) Allies
2) Vampires
3) Slivers
4) Eldrazi
5) Goblins

I have a lovely Merfolk deck (called Mine!)that people hate for me to bring out, some have even banned me playing it!
And my favorite white weenie deck is my Kithkin deck, entitled Lollipop Guild from Hell.
