Post your Magic the Gathering trivia here...

I'll start...

Did you know that during Alpha, Elvish Archer's power/toughness was 1/2 but was reprinted to 2/1... check it on the card database...

The Alpha Cyclopean Tomb is the first card ever printed with a dramatic casting cost error: It doesn't have one! Early Magic players just thought it was free. Now we know it should have been 4 colorless.

Rumor has it that the card Memnarch is actually Mirari's evolved form. ( could be a rumor though )

I think that it is likely, because they printed Mirire in Timespiral which means that it probably has some signifigance.

Its true Karn, who created the Mirari turned it into Memnarch to serve as guardian of Mirroden (though it wasn't called mirroden at that time), when Memnarch was destoryed he became the mirari again

I thought Memnarch was some kind of dictator of Mirrodin, who turned the planet into this mass of metal filled with machines after being exiled by his own homeworld from the rest of the wizards there because of his dangerus artifact based expiriments.

no menarch was created to be the guardin of mirroden while karn planeswalked the multiverse, during the absence menarch went mad and want to become a planeswalker, he built devices called soul traps to bring creatures from other planes to mirroden, such as the leoin, in the hopes that oneday someone would develop the planeswalker spark.  that day happed with an elf name glissa after a battle and such spark was removed from glissa who died, it went into a goblin who then gave it up to bring glissa back to life.  menarch was then defeated and karn returned (turns out menarch somehow kept karn from returning sooner),  Karn turned menarch back into the mirari and destroyed the soul traps returning everytone back to where they belong with the only living things on the plane where glissa, the goblin, and a decapeted head.  all of which became the guardian of mirroden and the mirari which is still there

I'd hate to be alone in a planet with only 1 goblin, 1 elf and 1 head for company.

LOL... I also noticed Garruk's ability (the overrun ability) is somewhat related to Kamahl, fist of Krosa's ability... Do you think that Garruk is Kamahl, FoK's planeswalker version?

Kamahal never ascended to planewalker status, garrak's ability might be based on kamahals as well as overrun but is not him

Which card was banned in Mercedian Masques-block tournament because almost all of the decks participating revolves around this card?

Hint: I think it was already mentioned by one of the members here...

Liv-Sivvi is correct.. Of course he knows that because it is his favorite card... Lin-Sivvi was banned because most of the decks Mercedian Masques-block tournament centers around it...

According to Invasion by Rob King (a fantastic author), Blind Seer is actually the planeswalker Urza in disguise. The first planeswalker to be printed?

Ironically, I got a Baron Signir out of a vending machine - 3 cards for 25cents. It was a fantastic deal, Baron is one of my favourites.

As for the lands, I think that happens to almost all lands in late blocks. They just make a painting and cut it into smaller pieces.

Splitting the deck into three piles and putting the middle on top is called a “Scarne cut”.

what about when you take out the center half of the deck, then take the remaining halves and swap them, then shuffle the two piles together, completely randomizing the deck?
