How do you want this to be Standard/casual?  where are you planing to play it friends house/fnm?  These questions have baring on the answer especially when it comes to eldrazi decks.

I was planning to keep this deck in Standard at FNM.

I need a defense against Vamps. All I have is Chain Reaction and I only have a 44.21% chance of drawing that in the first five turns.

Have you tested this deck yet. cause to be honest with you I think it is going to be to slow for any type of competive play.  Duye to the cost eldrazi are good in limited play where everyone is on the same playing field, and longer games are more common.  But in competive where people want to win they are not going to mess around.  Look at the potential in my standard deck

Turn 1:  forest, llanowar elves

turn 2:  Mountain, Kiln fiend

turn 3:  mountain, Attack with kiln, tap llano and mountain, collisial might, tap forest giant growth, tap mountain lightning bolt ==17/7 kiln fiend and you dead end of turn 3

Granted this wouldn't happen alot but this is how people play competivly they go for the jugular.  If you want to play with the eldrazi competively your best bet is to go with polymorph, using some of the sorcreys that spawn tokens to give you your fodder

Turn 1: Mountain
Turn 2: Forest. Spawning Breath or Nest Invader
Turn 3: Forest or Mountain. Brood Spawning. Hand of Emrakul.

Could you just make suggestions for this deck though? Please.

I did and you just verified it for me.  I won the game on turn 3, It took you 3 turns just to get 1 eldrazi into play and you had to cheat him in to do it. and to be frank if I threw that lightening bolt at the spawn you had in play when you cast brood you wouldn't have been able to do that, and since you only have 1 brood in your decks odds are you won;t have been able to do that anyway.

You asked for advice and I'm giving it to you.  your deck is to slow to be competive, out of 20 games you might see one of your eldraze in play 2-3 times and it will be the hand when you do, i guarntee that you wont see any of the big ones.  actually might be strong as maybe your play group is using them as well so all will be level, so let me rephasre that and say you wouldn't see them if you were playing in my play group at a fnm

If you want the eldrazi to be a wincon, look at polymorph, otherwise I would move this more into casual and use some of the older cards to accel you.

Now if you don;t mind losing almost everygame and just want to play it for as long as possible, you can remove some of your larger creatures as well as some of your 1 of's such as not of this world , hellion eruption, rapricous one and replace them with more pinpoint removal to keep the vamps at bay

So, you are saying that my deck is horrible and will never win. And that I need to entirely change the colors and concept of my deck.

Wow, this is going to take a while to fix then. . .

Also, on my worse version of this deck, you weren't so negative. Half of the changes I made were because you told me to do so.

You took the time, though, and effort to make a deck.  so i'm not going to tell you it sucks or is horrible.  But on the same note i am not going to lie and say it will kick all sorts of ass.  I said it was to slow to be competitive, I even said that if you want to play it go ahead, here are some things you can take out to last longer, but in a competive enviroment people want to win, they are not going to sit around while you take the time to play your eldrazi, they are going to try to win, it is as simple as that.

And concerning your other post I made suggestions on to improve your deck, in that converstion I suggested that you lose the larger eldrazi and focus more on using bramblesnap and hellion eruption as your wincon, both of which would speed up the deck, but you didn't want to take that suggestion, which is fine, that is your choice.  But don't say I'm being negative because you don't like what I have to say, if you can't take the criticism don't ask for someones opinion

Oh and to help your deck lose your one of's and add 4 summoning traps it will pick up the pace alitte

I have been making plans to get more Bramblesnaps and Hellion Eruptions for a while.

Thanks for the Summoning Trap idea.

Also, I am trading the Spawning Breaths for Brood Spawnings.

Just making sure, Summoning Trap would NOT trigger a cast ability because it was directly put onto the battlefield.

That is correct. But the Eldrazi are still mean creatures, even though you loose "When you cast" ability.
I'm also trying to make an Eldrazi-deck, but have BIG problems since its incredible slow.

But might I suggest using Everflowing Chalice?
Last time I played against an Eldrazi-deck (elf/eldrazi), Emrakul came into play fairly quick thanks to the Chalice.

By the way:
Are you happy with the Dreamstone Hedron? I've thought about using it, but I'm thinking it's too expensive?
What is you're experience with it?

Turbine, the concept of using eldrazi has and will be passing everyones mind on how to fit them into to their standard decks. I will say this however, that in standard with Shards of Alara still in play a eldrazi deck will not survive the first two games of swiss. Casual play i would love to see this thing rock the field, expecially in multiplayer where you can just sit back amongst those who do not know your deck and secrectly build up to unleash hell upon the board.

Faster decks and  control decks always win hands down when it comes to competition. Top decks being ran right now are Jund (ugh), Vamp. (ugh), Bant, Naya, and Big Red Wins. Out of them you will see Jund, Vampire, and Big Red Wins the most. Vamp and Jund are moderately paced decks with awe inspiring board control. Big Red wins is just a nasty burn deck (so think fast and react faster).

Me personally, i will be heading to regions on the 15th. I am not playing any of these style decks. I have my own designed deck that i am bringing that has been very nasty own its own, Old School Char with a touch of demonic possession. Take a look and see if your eldrazi could keep up with this.

Main Deck                                               Side Board
Ob Nixilis, the Fallen  x3                       Deathmark                    x3
Abyssal Persecutor     x2                      Malakir Bloodwitch      x2
Tuktuk the Explorer     x2                       Bojuka Bog                   x2
Hellspark Elemental  x4                       Thought Hemorrhage x3
Bloodthrone Vampire x3                       Halo Hunter***             x2
Vampire Nighthawk    x4                       Sarkhan the Mad         x1
                                                                   Arrogant Bloodlord     x2
Lightning Bolt                x4
Blightning                       x4
Terminate                       x4
Demonic Dread             x4
Bituminous Blast           x2

Swamp                             x6
Mountain                          x5
Lavaclaw Reaches         x2
Dragonskull Summit      x4
Crumbling Necropolis   x3 (changing this out with the r/b duel land from zendikar)
Grixis Panorama             x4

This deck has been brought to two tournements so far and though has not place top three, it is siting at top six. still working out a few minor kinks (mainly sideboard).

What do you two think, Turbine and Cault? Any suggestion for me? Mainly I want 4 death mark (Drops my mana conversion against white/green) instead of 3 and drop a Halo Hunter for it. Add a fourth Thought Hemorrhage maybe.

*** If you are wondering about the halo hunter I can only say that the angel's from this set are really nasty in a way and can easily shut down your deck. Admonition Angel (Exile with landfall), Deathless Angel (Mana activated ability for: Indestructible), Emeria (token producer), Linvala (shuts down activated abilities), and Iona (shuts down mono color decks or duel colors that are rely heavily on one specific).

To Gericault: I could just as easily use Doomblade or Terminate to kill your Kiln Fiend. That would mean that you wasted all those cards on nothing!

Ghost-pretty solid build you have going on, I don't know if I could offer any suggestions to help this out.  I agree with the addtional deathmark, though i don;t know if I would lose the halo hunter for the reason you stated the angels are brutal, personally I would lose Sarkan, especially  considering the number of cards you have in the 5 slot.  I like Ob but think you might be better off with terramorphic instead of akoum refuge to take advantage of the double landfall and to thin the deck more.  Have you considered pulse tracker, in place of hellspark, cheaper, its another vamp for bloodwitch, and provides a block to sac to bloodthrone, not to mention it will do more damage then hellspark if you keep it clear, which looks like your more then capable of doing

I would agree about the sarkhan, never really liked him anyways, and place in another death mark in that slot. I have been siding the deathmark in place of the terminate when up against green/white heavy decks to lower the mana conversion. Does not seem like a lot but it proved itself this weekend against a Zoo Deck. Four mana in play, use three to caste demonic dread and cascaded into deathmark killing a 4/4 green beast and then using the last black mana to cast another deathmark from my hand to kill a baneslayer angel.

The terramorphic would probally be better, even more so that i am cascading a lot thinning out my deck of spells.

The hellspark however has to be in this really to work with my idea for this deck and play style. So many games now the unearth effect has come in handy when at the end of the game i unearth 2 caste demonic dread on an opponents creature only to cascade into another and nail you for 9 damage for the win. Not to mention when up against Jund, who also uses blightning, I would gladly discard the hellsparks over the rest in my hand just to take it out on you my next turn.

As far as Thought Hemorrhage goes, would you say three or four? I am leaning towards just three at the moment.

I can understand the choice in hellsparks, as for the thought hemerage I have never been a fan of the card so I would keep it to 3.  good luck with it

That is not very good. A Vampire deck at my FNM would kill you in around 5 turns.

turbine do you really think that your eldrazi deck would perform much better.  Eldrazi are slow in standard, its as simple as that (which is what I've been saying since this thread began).  You can use cards like summon trap or polymorph to speed up the rate of getting them into play at the cost of not getting there cast ability, but to try to get them to be hard casted will take time.  Vamps, rdw, and WW have the speed advantage, jund and junk have the pulse which will destory your spawns further slowing you down.

Well, let's see here. Without your opponent playing anything, it would go like this.

1. Forest
2.Mountain. Nest Invader
3. Mountain. Brood Birthing. Brood Birthing.
4. Brood Birhting. Brood Birthing.
5. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

This is with a god hand though. . .

Man if I had a dollar for everytime those god hands without an oppenent doing anything for 5 turns durning an fnm situations occur, can you imagine how many dollars I would have.

Turbine, you asked for comments on your deck on how it will perform at FNM.  And I told you, you had other people posting there eldrazi saying the same thing, eldrazi are slow, you even replied back to someone running almost the same build as you telling them its slow.  Why you getting defensive about it, nobody said it was a bad deck (you said it to someone else) it is just slow for the current standard.

These site is so people can share there thoughts and ideas, and improve there game and decks through the critque of others who had differant experiences.  And if you can't handle alittle bit of criticism of stuff your posting such as decks or combos then keep your mouth shut

Plus with the re-legalzation of lightning bolt, burn decks have stepped up another notch (not that they weren't high enough already)

I personally would add dead reckoning to return your massive eldrazi that was just helplessly doom bladed, as a bonus the opponent takes damage equal to that beast's power.

you do FNM better have turn 1-3 win up your sleeves its my main weapon. (Actually owning two play sets of each of the power nines helps (No I didn't buy them at exorbent prices I am the Old Fogey Played since arabian nights and got a friends collection and he had power nine play sets still early 90's so be nice to him he didn't know their long term value)) FNM always have an ace or two in any deck. They all need infinite combos.

The only thing closest to a combo that I have in this deck would be getting out the Hand on turn 3.
