Happy new year!

On a side note, the spoilers to FR exploded! Is it me or is bolster looking too good? Also, what happens if a manifested card is turned face up and is not a creature?

Slight correction, if its not a PERMANENT, it stays face down. There are already lands, artifacts, and enchantments with morph.

Also, if its a sorcery or instant and you exile/bounce it, per a quick judge-check, it stays exiled.

What if someone used Break Open to turn it face up?

Heck, on that note, this might be a new way for reddish decks to sneak creatures onto the battlefield.

If its not a creature when its flipped, it goes right back face down. Sort of like copies of transforming creatures without the proper info on the other side.

I think that this will break modern just as much as treasure cruise/ dig through time. How do you all feel about it?

I highly doubt it will see modern play. I;m not going to deal with the problems of the casting cost, but just leave it at the fact "Take an extra turn" effects are just not that good. The reason cruise and dig are so good is that they let you go deep for solutions to problems, in other words your likely to be able to change the board state in your favor afterwards.

im kinda curious if they are going to keep up with the trend of "reprinting" the power nine cards with the delve ability in the third set of this block and which one it will be...maybe a delve black lotus?

My question is: was Ugin supposed to be able to wipe the battlefield of all lands for zero loyalty counters a la Painter's Servant, or was that just a fluke?

I doubt they test with old cards at all, let alone try to break the cards like real players do.

Sometimes I doubt they test cards AT ALL. Looking at Dromoka in the preview:

Even with no other creatures, that thing will swing as a 7/7 the first time it attacks, for only 5 mana.
