Saw a booster box of these when I was nestalgia shopping for TMNT stuff. STFU!!! I like the turtles. Anyway, saw a booster box of these cards and got to wondering what's in them. Wasn't curious enough to buy a pack when I was there. Now that I'm thinking about it, I kinda want to get a couple packs. Any input on this?

Don't waste the money. Excluding a couple legends, its basically a set entirely designed for casual drafting and multiplayer politics. If you have a group of people interested in that, it might be worth it, otherwise, wait for singles.

My friend just bought a booster box for he gang to do a draft. I'm pretty pumped. I like the idea of some of these new rules and cards just for drafting.

They're legal in standard.

No, they are not legal in standard, nor is any other set not part of the regular rotation.

They are not legal in modern or standard unless they are already in one of the legal standard sets

for example
plument was in M14 so it is standard and modern legal
mortify was in ravinca so it is modern legal but not standard legal
Pernicious deed has not been printed since apocalypse so it is not legal in modern or standard

A cards legality is based on the most recent block or core set its printed in and the formats those blocks and cores are legal in. Cards not printed in a block or core, such as the cogwork creatures or the new commanders from last summer are only legal in vintage or legecy

We drafted it and it was fun... some of the cards needed extra reading (mainly because of unfamiliarity). I've been meaning to make a cube for drafting and the draft specific cards from our box will probably end up in there.

Well, I got a booster of it and, aside from 1 card, my booster sucked. I got a swords to plowshares. Only card worth mentioning.
