Well, I don't like the overpowered versions of old cards... I like the "Reprinted but with a different name" version... Like Greenweaver Druid vs. Fyndhorn Elder...

Well, the only thing i like is the Training Grounds putting Heartstone to shame in CMC... But in usefulness I think Heartstone is still better...

Force of Nature - 6 mana for an 8/8 trampler which punches you in the face every upkeep

vs

Terra Stomper - 6 mana for an 8/8 trampler which can't be countered

How is Heartstone any better? Training Grounds costs 2 less and drops activated abilities by 2. Heartstone costs 2 more and drops activated abilities by 1.

There are a few (small) corner cases for Heartstone.

1. It is an artifact so can be played in any deck.
2. It affects all players. This includes your team-mates in team games.

I admit it's not much of a compensation though, in general Training Grounds will be better.

The colorless part is heartstones saving grace. I'm not splashing blue
in my rebel deck just for training ground (Hearstones go best in rebel
and mercanary decks for the record).
