Title: drafting and fire

So, my existence here might be minimal in the next few weeks, as a fire claimed both of my computers. It also claimed my reanimator deck, my affinity deck, my commander deck, and all of my fiancee's deck (as well as custom cards and collections, but happily my trade binder, my uncommons, and the brunt of my decks survived).
So insurance is asking me for an itemized list of losses and by my research, my reanimator deck runs for over $200. Figured I'd go to tappedout to make the deck since it prices submitted decks. I typed tappedout.org and got redirected to http://draftwith.me
Supposedly this site lets you draft with other people online, I gave them my email, but I haven't looked at the confirmation yet, due to time constraints. Has anyone else heard of this site? It seems pretty new.

Thank you for the link, sadly this laptop is incapable of loading that page properly, as well as most nonyoutube flash-based objects.
I also discovered that I'm missing my Chaos deck (blue/red doesn't try to win, just massive card drawing and free casting for all as well as Possibility Storm, Eye of the Storm, Hive Mind, and the like cards) and my One Mana Burn Deck (posted to this site). Both are still in the bathroom of the apartment. The burn deck might be okay because it was in a plastic box and sleeved. I don't have as much hope for the Chaos deck, since it wasn't sleeved, but I did tape up the cardboard box to keep it from falling apart, so maybe that will give it some resilency. No schedule for us ever getting back into the apartment, and I need to provide receipts/proof that I owned what I owned. Kinda hard to do that when you either traded for cards or paid with cash a decade ago.
The good news is thanks to Magiccards.info, I was able to print up a proxie deck of my reanimator. It will do the trick since the group I play with knows what's up (and there aren't any legacy tournaments around here anyway).

So, more news, they went back in a second time and recovered (among other things) the majority of my fiancee's decks (I think she's only missing one or two at this point).
My question is: they recovered one of the duel decks and the best way to describe it is a paper cake of wet. Obviously the resale value has jumped off a cliff, but does anyone have any ideas as to how to make the clump...playable? Even safely seperating them would be nice, but over the years, WotC has started to use cheaper ink (comparing wet 4th edition forests[1995 release] to RtR forests[still in standard]). I mean warped cards are fine as long as the sleeves are strong enough to keep them straight. So salvage strategies would be great if you have any!

So, I tried peeling them apart for horridous effects, and then went to a hair dryer. The hair dryer mummifies (makes the back of the card's ink shrivel and look like mummy skin) and the cards were identifiable, but still noticably damaged by misplaced ink on the back/front of other cards.

So, when it came to my collection of 100 plains all stuck together, I put them in the microwave for ten seconds. The results were phenomenal. Though there is still mild discoloring, most of them are even drying straight (and I'm sure if I pressed them they would dry straight). MAKE DEAD CERTAIN THAT NO PREMIUM (FOIL) CARDS EVER! DO NOT MICROWAVE FOIL CARDS! CHECK YOUR STACKS FOR FOIL CARDS! DO NOT KILL YOURSELF! NO FOIL CARDS IN THE MICROWAVE.

So, that's what I found out.

used to be that a wet card that dried simply needed to be re-wet and peeled apart, sat on waxed paper (waxed paper covering both sides) allowed to dry, then put a towel over the wax paper, then iron (lightly) with the card slightly wet, should restore the card to near original... newer cards do not have the same quality finnish on them, so it doesnt work

I have a few 4th Ed Lightning Bolts on which I could try that, thanks!
