Hey guys! It has been a while since I posted. I'm working my monster island deck that I usually play with in multi games. It essentially boils down to big alara monsters stomping around...because that shit is funny. I'm twerking it and am having trouble getting it down to 60 cards. I want your opinions on what you guys think. Keep in mind i'm going for the monster island theme because godzilla needs some luvin...and he's gonna get it from me. Also, birds of paradise vs. bloom tender. Thoughts?

Needs MOAR! Naya Charm! Jk...just personal opinion looks solid and flavorful ... Um...maybe some more mana ramp?

To be perfectly honest take anything MTG Dyingjester says with a grain of salt...I'm just here for lulz...ain't played MTG in two years ...so any advice I give is very outdated...

This looks like my Red/Green deck. This seems to rely too much on Elvish Piper and Mayael the Anima. For my deck I have:

Khalni Heart Expedition X4
Harrow X3
Cultivate X3
Rampant Growth X4

With this I consistantly get a 6-cost Gargantuan Turn 4 AND I also have Grazing Gladeheart so every time a land enters my battlefield I gain 2 life.

Also if you're gonna run a deck around getting big creatures out and you don't care about banned lists then Primevil Titan is a must.

Last thing. If you're gonna make this legacy then I'd recommend Explosive Vegetation.

cool cool. I see what you are saying. The monsters are pricey and I don't have much mana ramp. Again, thoughts on the bloomtender? I don't want to take out the pipers completely...i bought them specifically for this deck :( . But I do need more mana ramping. Let me know if you guys have anymore thoughts on the deck or if you think of some monsters that need to go to monster island. I feel like there should be a dragon and an insect or plant creature somewhere.

thanks jester and war rider!

As far as creatures others you would consider are Flameblast Dragon Balefire Dragon, Angelic Arbitor, Baneslayer Angel or Serra Angel.

birds vs bloom - the advantage of bloom tender is it will grant you more mana, as long as you have a color permanent out, but without that it only gives you one green, which makes it less useful to get the colored stuff out early game.  Ideally you would drop the birds first turn and then wooly thocter the second.  The bloom would then be useful.
As for some deck suggestions, like I said the ideal would be wooly as your 2nd turn drop, naya hushblade doesn't really fit your deck idea and once the shroud activates it cant be enchanted or equipped, I would drop it. I would also drop 1 of the spearbreaker and godsire to replace them with summors pact, which will let you find what you need.
Hull Breach I assume is a meta choice, but do you really need 4 of them.  Also concerning your enchantments 4 of each might be to much.  You need creatures for the enchantments and artifacts most of which won't come out until mid game so you don't need to have them in your opening hands.
Neither of the chosen walkers helps your deck to much, if you need a walker Garrek Wildspeaker will be a better choice
Here is what I would do
-4 hushblade
-1 spearbreaker
-1 godsire
-2 hull breach
-2 armadillo
-2 shield of oversoul
-2 both walkers
+2 summoners pact
+3 bloom tender

i see what you mean about the hushblades. they were just good early game creatures that i had on hand. especially when you throw an armadillo cloak on them or shield of oversoul. just checked out summoners pact and that is a crazy card. i will definitely look into those. you do make a really good point about the hull breach and enchantments. i may have been a little overkill on that. planeswalkers are just there to be planeswalkers...they never hurt and they just look scary when played. however, they don't really fit the deck. i will work on cleaning house and cutting the fat. these are all very helpful tips. thanks guys. even you jester...especially you jester!

2 more cards you could consider at your own discretion are Bear Umbra and Doubling Chant
