Title: Best Way to keep a creature on the battlefield?

Someone I have been playing with that has recently started the game has been asking if there is a way to keep a creature on the battlefield. I told him that there were various methods, and a few creatures that were very good at it (like Progenitus).
I then explained that board sweeps would still remove the creature from play. He asked if there was a way to stop mass exile and/or bounce from removing the creature from the battlefield (save countering). I told him I was pretty sure that there was no way, but I would check.

So here I am checking. Aside from a counterspell, is there anyway to KEEP a creature on the battlefield after an opponent casts Evacuation or Worldfire? (Note I'm not talking about flickering or like Norin the Wary.)

The only card to really dodge it are effects like Legion's Initiative the give a delayed flicker. Other than that, I really don't think a way exists.

Indestructibility? A little harder to deal with. Gets around kill cards and board wipes. Requires sacrifice, neg counters, or exile.

I agree to hedsak. You need something which works with instant speed, so sorceries are no choice.
If you can grant flash to enchantments and creatures all the following cards are appropriate: Parallax Wave, Admonition Angel, Astral Slide,  Faceless Butcher, Fiend Hunter, Flickerwisp, Glimmerpoint Stag, Journey to Nowhere, Leonin Relic-Warder, Liberate, Mistmeadow Witch, Oblivion Ring, Otherworldly Journey, Oubliette, Turn to Mist, Vanish into Memory and Voyager Staff.
Sudden Disappearance and Voidwalk also works. You may need Vedalken Orrery or Alchemist's Refuge or similar.

Without getting too involved with instants, there is NO way to prevent a creature from dying with a board wipe. Even the godly hydra Progenetis will die if someone casts a Damnation, Wrath of God, Soul Scour, deals damage with a creature equipped with World Slayer. It will also go right back in your hand if someone casts Evacuate. It will tap if someone casts Deluge. It is subject to Kismet and Blind Obedience. It gets clouded up by Smoke and can't do a damn thing about Stasis. It is humbled by Humility. Non-target means no protection.
