Title: Rulings on some ideas

I'm trying to finish an epic experiment deck, and i had a few thoughts on some things. For instance, was thinking if reverberate was hit with experiment, couldn't you just copy experiment with that reverberate or such effect? And if you come across another experiment with council of the absolute out, will X remain zero? Also, where it says it may be cast without paying the mana, are you allowed to pay the mana otherwise? Was really curious about those, and would love to knowif any of it works or not. Any thoughts?

First take a look here: http://magiccards.info/query?q=epic+experiment&v=card&s=cname
The Epic Experiment has some rulings which answers your questions:

  • 10/1/2012: If you cast a card “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t pay alternative costs such as overload costs. You can pay additional costs such as kicker costs. If the card has mandatory additional costs, you must pay those.
  • 10/1/2012: If a card has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as its value.
  • Second, Reverberate can only target spells which are on the stack. So if Reverberate was hit by the Epic Experiment (which is IN Resolution Status) the Reverberate cannot target the original EE since it is not on the stack anymore. See rule 111.1 "...A spell remains on the stack as a spell until it resolves..."
The Reverberate may target spelles which are put on the stack by the resolving EE.

So, what your saying is that two don't work, but one does as long as i choose to pay the mana cost on the cards i hit, is that correct?

No. What I say is, that
    1) if you cast an EE with x == 3 and you hit a Lightning bolt, a Reverberate and a 2nd Lightning bolt, then you cannot copy the EE. You only copy a bolt.
    2) if you cast an EE with x == 3 and you hit an second EE and 2 Lightning bolts, then you may cast the second EE with x==0 and cast 2 bolts.
    3) if you cast an EE with x == 3 and you hit an second EE, a Reverberate and a Lightning bolt, then you may cast the second EE with x==0, then you can copy the second EE (which makes no sense since you reveal 0 cards) and you may cast the bolt.
