Really Phage groupie. Black technically isn't a color, it's a hue. When you say something is black what you are really saying is that its hue is to deep to distingush what color it is (most turn out to actually be brown) this page is an indistingushable color because its hue is far to light.

Really Lin-Sivvi. I know the whole "scientific explenation" of black and white, but dude when someone asks you what color is, lets say, something black what do you tell them? Thats its "deep hue"? I'd really love to see all those people who talk about black and white not being colors use these words in their every day life.
Like, "hey today I went to the stores and I saw a really cool deep hue t-shirt, but it was soooo expensive" or "Did you see the new deep hue chick that came in our class today? Shes hot dude!" or "Phage is good but too expensive. She needs 4 deep hues! Difficult to put in a non mono-deep hue deck."

Exactly, so you use the word black to describe somthing with an indistushable color due to the depth of its hue.

And this isn't the "scientific explenation, the scientific explenation is base off light. "due to the fact that colors refelct light, that means that they are every color except the one that they show, because of this, black clearly isn't reflecting any color, so it is technically every color at once, and white is refelcting every color, so it is no colors at all."

Color is the word that describes what something looks like when it comes to it's, well appearence we could say. The fact that black and white obtain their "appearence" in a different way than most other colors doesn't mean they are not colors. And again, if you are a real suporter of this logic then start using the correct words. Like "deep hue" for black, or "all colors at once" or whatever else you might call it. Just don't call it "color".

Simple the word "White" is a word meaning the absence of any color, so no white is not a color. its like if you ask some one what they are doing, and they say "nothing" they aren't meaning that nothing is an action, but they are saying they lack action.

Gray is also a hue, it represent a more middle hue, (99%-1%) gray is really, a color of equivelent grayscale, without any value. As for the light or dark colors, well thats simple, they are what ever color they are, with a deep or light hue.

Because the build up on every movie (excluding 2 and 3) was way to excessive. So much talking and walking around. Not enough zappity hity and kablamo. Also, once you watch the same 6 movies for the 6th time, it starts getting old. Not much of a sci-fi fan myself, though I know some things.

Nope but I'm saying that regardless of how good a movie is, it will start getting old after a number of watches (I found this same thing with the lord of the ring movies and the matrix movies). Once you've memorized all the lines and actions, watching the movie becomes dull. Star-trek has significantly more hours than Starwars. Though if I do say so myself, Star gate is better than both.

First of all how can you say star wars V was boring, it was the best of the series.

Alright I just reread all my posts and nowhere did I say star wars V was boring, so don't put words in my mouth. The star wars plotline can be found in any action/adventure type series by writers who don't try. Allow me. Chosen One (Luke) with BA best friend (Han) and comedic relief (R2 C3P0 and chewie) rescue a princess (literally) from a villian who has some relation to the hero (Darth Vader) who himself is controlled by an eviler villan (the emporer) and in the end either the hero defeats the villian whom he has a relation to or he returns to the side of angels. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy them its just star trek has more substance, as for generations...time travel=mess. Redringer at least try to argue.

undiscovered-someone is threating peace talks

generations-how do we pass the torch to new actors-lets time travel nobody understands it anyway

first contact-something threaten earths future, got to save it

insurrection-something is threatening an innocent plant got to save it

nemesis-something is threatning earth got to save it

star trek 2009- something is treatening the federations and earth future got to save it.

star trek 2011-something threatning something, and only finding a dead guy whos not dead, 80 years in the past can stop it. there will probally be a peace talk in there somewhere

I can definitly see the level of thought the writers put into these movies.

The thing about these movies is that star trek movies are ment to be seen independantly, while star wars is ment to be seen as a whole. the whole star wars series are not about luke and his realation to his father. it is about his father, from his rise to fame, to the struggle between his loyalitys and emotions, captializing to his redemption back into the light

Yes you could say that black is a colour, and white is a colour (spending hours on end debating about the finer points of eggshell white compared to off-white with a woman will probably give you pause). The truth is that nothing is a true black or a true white, everything we see exists somewhere on the EM scale. Saying white isn't a colour would be like saying a circle isn't a true shape because a true circle wouldn't have definitely lengths unless it was zero dimensional (not a shape). What we call a circle, isn't really a circle, and likewise, what we call white or black aren't really white or black in terms of platonic ideals anyway. Besides, the back of the cards have more of a dark brown and bleached dun look to them anyway. Perhaps we could say "black" and "white" are euphemistic terms in this case?

I'm a fan of dark sci-fi, whether it's Aliens or the show Battlestar Galactica (reimagined series, pre-session 4.5). There's the odd star-trek episode that rocks house with dark sci-fi (tng - "conspiracy" check out that episode) and the original intended concept of starwars was good (cybernetic iron-clad samurai-esque dark lord storming through the galaxy in order to exact his wrath on all whom oppose him; using powers bestown upon him by a lost and ancient religion).
