Title: Phantasmal Image with Faeries???

I want to know if Phantasmal Image would work with Faeries.....

First I want to know if it can copy the Flash ability, playing my Image at Instant speed to copy a creature with Flash in play...... just like a creature with Flash........

And second, if I copy a Scion of Oona, will my Image loose its "When this creature becomes the target of spell or ability, sacrifice it". I'm not sure since they will both give eachother shroud (and all my other faeries as well.....) from Scion that my Image copied, now having 2 of them in play. I dunno which will overwrite the other ability first and so on.......

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You won't be able to cast Phantasmal Image at instant speed, because the card itself doesn't have flash. It will have flash when it enters the battlefield and copies Scion of Oona, but by then it will be too late.

It won't lose its sacrifice ability, but by copying Scion of Oona, and thus being a fairy, it will have shroud, as will Scion of Oona, so Image's drawback is negated. Phantasmal Image was used with some success with Drogskol Captain last year, because the two cards gave each other Hexproof, not to mention +1/+1.

In short, no instant speed, but Scion of Oona and Phantasmal Image is still a huge beating.

I see, that's what I thought aswell, seeing that Image is beeing played with Merfolk a lot, It's unfortunate it won't copy Flash and of course with great sense, I guess now I would probably have to put Aether Vial back in my testing Modern U/B Faerie deck....... :D
