Title: old and new Ravnica mechanics

My analysis of how well the old guild mechanics and new guild mechanics work together.
Selesnya: Convoke and Populate
My vote for best interaction so far. Populate can reduce (for example) an Autochthon Wurm's cost very fast with Convoke. What's not to love about creating tokens, and using those tokens to speed up more creatures? I just wish more Convoke cards created tokens.
Golgari: Dredge and Scavenge
Not bad. Dredge puts cards into your graveyard. Scavenge makes having a big graveyard worthwhile. End result is usually a small group of obscenely large creatures with smaller creatures regularly popping up and dying.
Izzet: Replicate and Overload
Both effects make a sorcery or instant bigger by investing more mana. My vote for most redundant, but the fireworks are fun.
Rakdos: Hellbent and Unleash
Must not have cards in hand! Must keep attacking! MUST...DESTROY!! Play cards as fast as you can, as hard as you can. High tempo effects, but not much direct interaction aside from specific cards.
Azorius: Forecast and Detain
I honestly can find no mechanical interaction here. Neither is bad, and they can share space easily. They just have nothing to do with each other.
