I originally thought I was gonna build Heartless Rakdos, but I picked up an intro pack the other day that came with 5 cards...They were...

Captain of the Watch

Odric, Master Tactician

Captain's Call

Attended Knight

Safe Passage

Upon seeing these in an intro pack I decided what the heck, screw Heartless Rakdos (Which I'd have to shell out 40+ Dollars for). Instead hello Mono-white aggro! So without further delay, here's my list.

Odric Master Tactician x2 ($2)

Captain of the Watch x2 ($3)

Precinct Captain x4 ($6)

War Falcon x4 ($0.40)

Azorius Arrester x4 ($0.40)

Doomed Traveler x4 ($1)

Fiend Hunter x4 ($2)

Attended Knight x4 ($0.40)

Oblivion Ring x4 ($2)

Safe Passage x2 ($0.20)

Captain's call x4 ($0.40)

Plains x 22 (Negligible cost.)

So all in all when you crunch the numbers for this deck's cost ($15.60) That's including 99 cent shipping from channelfireball.com...So with only $15.60 invested I did some playtests against some folks on cockatrice.

The Results were pretty good. As long as you hold your bombshells (Captain's call and Captain of the Watch). it fares pretty well vs. boardwipes and control match ups. That being said There are a few cards I will trade around for as far as adding to this deck...They are...

Thalia Guardian of Thraben ($4) At $4 a copy she could be invaluable against control players, but not so much against aggro...I'm considering playing an even split of 2 Thalia/ 2 Arrester, with 2 of each in sideboard. This raises the deck's cost to $31.60. Still not bad.

Champion of the Parish ($5) Would improve the deck slightly. The Falcon's have one thing over this guy though (Pardon the pun flying). But folks say the champion is good...might be worth checking into, but I am unsure...it would raise the cost to $51.60...which is not really budget... o<( X_X)>o

Cavern of Souls ($20) Only need 2 copies of this bad@$$ card. That being said if I ordered two and forgo the other rares I'm looking at $55.60...which again isn't really budget...

So...thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated...please note that this deck is built for post rotation and hence why I have not incorporated battlecry or any of the other epic aggro stuff...

how about Selesnya dual lands (guildgate, shockland, sunpetal grove) and Gavony township? Make a lot of small soldiers into giant soldiers!

With all the tokens intanglable virtue or phantom general would be a good fit. Couldshift to save/reset some of your stuff might be good

I have regrettably scrapped this project as a budget deck...I was able to score 2 ajani's, 2 Thalia, and some other rares...sorry bout wasting ya'lls time...      o<(T^T)>o

Ajani's pretty sick for mono-white, shame he's not budget. I've only managed to snag one of him, but I've considered building a similar mono-white (non-budget) deck. There are so many new options to standard it seems like, that I switch what I want to do daily it feels.

And as long as it's non budget, Sublime Archangel?
