A B/W deck I made a while back has an interesting, if unintended combo in it. Avacyn and Elspeth Tirel. Using the black in my deck, throw Avacyn into the graveyard early. hopefully turn 2. A swamp first turn is really needed to make this work quickly. Dark Ritual a Hell's Caretaker into play turn 2. Turn 3, during your upkeep, sacrifice the Hell's Caretaker to itself to bring Avacyn into play. an 8/8 indestructable angel turn 3 isn't bad huh? Using Horzhov Bascillicas and maybe a Dark Ritual, put Elspeth into play turn 4, and it's all over. Turn 5, wipe the field and kill. If the game drags on, use Elspeth again to keep your oponant under control until you can kill them.

The land you are referring to is "Orzhov Basilica". I found this out after searching "basil" with gatherer.

My suggestion for your turn one is:
Dark Ritual
Putrid Imp (use to discard Avacyn)
Animate Dead/Exhume/Reanimate

This means turn two you get to typically swing for 7 or 8 (nine if they don't have acreature out to block the imp) and quite possibly your opponent will be dead before your planeswalker ever makes it onto the battlefield.

Animate Dead is usually the favorite pick because it leaves less up to chance, and since it is indestructible, you shouldn't worry about it leaving play all that much.
Reanimate is the cheapest, but usually the most risky. However you have to realize a big stick like Avacyn is going to get you back into the lead rather quickly.
Exhume is slightly risky, but lets be real here: it is on rare occasion that they will pick a creature that is better than yours (and that would be due to you not paying attention).

Considering the way you are planning to use Hell's Caretaker(once), you might also consider Necromancy. This is the deluxe Animate Dead. I bring this up because you still have to wait for H.C.'s summoning sickness to subside. A newer card I'd recommend is Unburial rites. Just make sure you discard it with Putrid Imp and you can Dark Ritual to cast it second turn (provided you drop a plains).

Hope this helps.

I use a similar combo in my rhys the redeemed edh. It happens pretty fast, usually by turn 7 if the draw works out. At best case, it is at turn 4. If Elspeth isn't in hand by turn 7, it is still no big deal as by this point you can just make tokens to have a bigger field.

Turn 1:
Basic land, sol ring into signet

Turn 2:
Another land etb untapped, play mirari's wake.

Turn 3:
Land, doubling season, elspeth, knight errant into her ultimate. (Since it is an emblem, there is no way for its anthem effect to stop.)

Turn 4-7:
Make tokens or whatever till you get elspeth tirel. Even if she isn't drawn, you should be fine making dudes to have a better board.

I'm not much for janky combos. I try to avoid them when I can, but an unholy urge forced me to make an Esper deck that just infinitelly stalls until I get a Master Transmuter and a Filligre Angel (or however that is spelled.) Once that happens, it's going to be impossible to keep ahead of my life total. Here's how it works.

Needed cards:

Unwinding Clock

Artifact lands that produce blue.

Master Transmuter

Filligree Angel

Basically, if you understood what an Esper deck is, you should know what happens with this.
