Was kinda stewing over this the other day, and realized something kinda cool.

If you ran a primarily white (plains) artifact-heavy deck with things like Everflowing Chalice and Gilded Lotus to produce heavy mana, you could throw in some Tolarian Acedemy's, Gaea's Cradle's, and Deserted Temple's to do some cool stuff.

With a Sensei's Divining Top (another artifact) you can prepare to draw your Entreat the Angels and cast its Miracle cost. Use the mana-producing artifacts and Tolarian Academy, then use Deserted Temple to basically double up and put A LOT of angels into play. Once you've done that, you have enough creatures to take advantage of Gaea's Cradle (and perhaps a 2nd Deserted Temple since it isn't legendary). On your next turn, given that your angels survive a Wrath effect, use Gaea's Cradle to cast a Strength of the Tajuru, giving you a lot of angels jacked up on HGH.

Really seems pretty feasible to build around and would certainly drop some jaws. Find a reasonable way to give the angels haste, and you might be able to pull it all off in one turn.

The obvious problem with that at first glance is the cards you would need to have in play before any of this could be put together. Greatly reducing the odds that you will ever get the Entreat the Angels off for it's miracle cost. Too many moving parts for that to be very effective. Even if it did go off without a hitch, there are too many ways to get rid of armies like that. Especially when they are the same summon type.  That said, there's also not a lot you can do about an army of angels if you're lacking fliers. A nostalgic white player may be using something to protect themselves like Worship. A blue player will undoubtedly counter it. Failing that, Evacuation and problem solved. You would need to have VERY good protection for you and your permanents while gearing up for this combo. Too many resources dedicated to a single cause that appears to fall apart if even a single piece is disturbed. Good for casual though.

I understand your point. But this is obviously intended to be a casual observation. Was simply noting the possibility.

But with all due respect, the premise behind this would really be no different than the Primeval Titan ramp decks. In fact, this could be run W/G, to include Primeval Titan's which could easily fetch the lands. Using some Myr's to ramp, as well, to take advantage of an early Tolarian Academy. Toss in some Grand Abolisher's and Boseiju's  if you're concerned about counters. Given that the deck is W/G, obviously you're going to have answers for enchantments like Worship. There's plenty of room in the deck as, other than mana-ramp (which is primarily Urza lands and a few artifacts), there are only Entreat's and Strength's added so far. Lots of room to build here.

No doubt. Since we're on the subject, to increase army strength, use Glorious Anthem or Geae's Blessing. Also consider Pulse of the Wild for even further mana production. I'm going to figure the green creatures will be elves, so consider Priest of Titania. To really drive the fact of an angelic army of death home, use a Victory's Herald. Throw in a Coat of Arms...look at all that life link. makes me drool.
