Title: Burn vs Squirrel Resolution

So my wife and I are playing out a game with her and her burn deck versus my new squirrel deck. I was at 1 life with 2 Mycoloths (1 with 2 +1/+1 counters and the other with 16) and she had a Goblin Arsonist and Mudbutton Torchrunner out with 20 life.

Let's say if the next turn I had a bunch of Saprolings out and attacked her and she blocked, would the game end in a draw as she would be overrun by all my attackers and I would be dinged from the Goblin effects or would I win based on how the turn plays out (damage dealt first then the creatures go to the graveyard then trigger their abilities)?

Thanks for the help on this!

I think you would win, because the combat damage is immediate, and the goblin abilities are not immediate as they go on the stack. By the time they're on the stack, your wife is already at 0 life presumably, and thus you would win.

Completely following the sceniaro you wrote, your wife would win.
You said 1 mycoloth has 2 counter 1 has 16 and they were only creatures. Each gives saps according to counters so now 18 saporlings plus 2 mycoloths. 20 creatures. You attack with all 20 she blocks the mycoloths so 18 1/1's do damage for 18 damage she has 2 life left her abilities trigger and resolve killing you

Now if you did do 20 damage to her then zapdos is correct. All combat damage resolves at once, then state base actions see her at 0 life before her abilities even go on the stack.

That's what I thought would happen. I killed you first then I'd be damaged after you died so whoever died first lost. Cool cool beans! Thanks for the clarification!

The only thing to watch out for would be first strike / double strike creatures attacking. If you attacked with a creature with either first strike or double strike, then your wife could block them with either the Arsonist or the Torchrunner, and they would die and ping you before she took lethal damage from the rest of your crew.
