my idea is like that of the create a card game. this time, we have to find a card that hasnt been used in very many combos, or any at all, and have the next person make a combo out of it. to star us off
next card: Boa Constrictor

Boa Constrictor + Umbral Mantle + Training Grounds. Essentially, he becomes 1: Boa Constrictor gets +5/+5 until end of turn. Toss in a Distortion Strike and you should be good to go.

Void Maw? That cards filled with combo possibilities, especially unearth..... How about this:

Void Maw, Fatestitcher, Altar of Dementia

With all three out, sac the stitcher to the Altar. Mill for one. it gets exiled, bring the stitcher back to the graveyard with Void Maw. Tap and island to unearth it, and since it has haste, tap the stitcher to untap the island. Continue until you've milled your opponent. Or replace altar with Blasting Station if you want to ping them to death.

Hibernation's End/Hex Parasite/Wild Pair/relentless rats.

Use Hex Parasite to keep Hibernation's End locked at four, so you can continuously churn out two progressively bigger Relentless Rats, thanks to Wild Pair.

Collapsing Borders+Rain of Gore+Death's Shadow + something like Platinum Angel
With just a Swamp and a Mountain, Death's Shadow gains +5/+5 each turn. All you need is some way to keep yourself alive.

Ok,

Mana Echoes, Skeleton Scavengers, Ghave Guru of Spores.

Pay 1 for Scavengers to regenerate it, getting a counter, pay 1 for Ghave to remove that counter and get a saproling. So it'll cost 2 per saproling, and once you have enough saprolings out you'll start netting mana from the Mana Echoes to make it infinite. Add in something like mass hysteria to end the game.

Despotic Scepter/Taiyamo, Moon Sage/Donate/Illusions of Grandeur

Play IoG, Donate it, and bury it with DS. Having the moon sage out will let you do it over and over again. Great with multiplayer.

With MotM out, equip AEther Vial with Nature's Chosen. Keep bouncing the Herd into Soldiers from the Riders.

isochron scepter, mirror golem, cloudshift, nefarious lich, donate
imprint cloudshift on the scepter donate the lich, then keep bouncing the golem til they have an empty graveyard, then attack with golem

Let's bring this back. Canker Abomination+Conjurer's Closet. If you exile the Abomination the turn you play it, it returns with no counters and the summoning sickness is gone.

Vanish into memory-spirit mirror-bonespliter

equip the ax to the token, cast vanish draw 4 without discarding, get the token back

 

@otherguy-canker gets counters when it enters the battlefield, so it will get new ones when it comes back into play as long as your opponent controls creatures.  it also gains summoning sickness when it comes into play from another zone

Oh, yeah, duh. I should have known that. I can only plead rushing to bring this thread back. The only other cards I can think of that might work are Leech Bonder and Wrath of God-y destruction, and that didn't seem very exciting.

So anyway, what's the next card? Without another suggestion, l pass the buck on Canker Abomination.

Deadly Allure + Somberwald Vigilante

The Vigilante's ability happens BEFORE first or double strike, making this deal with many different threats.

Truce+Thought Reflection+activated Archmage Ascension=tutor for 4 cards and gain 4 life while your opponent only gets the choice off of Truce

This works because both Though Reflection and Archmage Ascension have replacement effects that modify the event of drawing.  If the event of drawing 1 card is replaced with drawing 2 cards, and that event is replace with two instances of tutoring for a card you will have not drawn the 1 card that was originally instructed.  Because of this you'll get the secondary bonus of gaining life :).  This works the same as the combo using Sylvan Library and Abundance

I was going to post a rampage bushido combo to make this card work, but I found simpler:

Slinking Giant+Inquisitor's Flail & Taunting Elf+Darksteel Plate
This really rubs it in the face of your opponent. Add Mage Slayer/Fireshrieker to the mix to make it even more hopeless (and aggravating).

Pygmy Hippo+Statis

Using Frozen Aether and Seedborn Muse, this will make sure that the opponent has no untapped lands (or mana!) to counter your Statis. As for making the hit connect, might as well use Artful Dodge.

I can't think of anything for elkin lair... It's so restricted.  All it does it removes a card from your hand at upkeep...
