The question is easy enough to say, but I'm still having trouble with the decision.
Here is what I'm working with:
Snow covered mountain - 18
Chain LIghtning - 4
Ensaring Bridge - 1
Feldon's Cane - 1
Fireblast - 4
Firestorm - 1
Furnace of Rath/ Curse of Bloodletting -1
Lava Spike - 1
Lightning Bolt - 4
Nevinyrral's Disk - 1
Repercussion - 3
Rift Bolt - 4
Thunderous Wrath - 4
Seal of Fire - 4
Skred - 3
Starstorm - 1
Tremor - 1
Everlasting Torment - 1

The question is: should I run Furnace of Rath or Curse of Bloodletting?
For FoR I have:
Effects multiple players
Effects creatures (add a repercussion and one damage to a creature is four its controller)
Costs less
For CoB I have:
Doesn't effect the damage I take
doesn't make me a punching bag during that one round after I play it and I am tapped out.

Which do you think I should use and why?

furnace of rath. the reasons are as you outlined. the other is that because you are running RDW, you are probably faster than your opponent, therefore you dont exactly have to worry about them hurting you. one other thing is that because you have 1 in your deck, so either would work, considering your chances of drawing them.

p.s. in my opinion, this RDW is rather slow considering the amount of cards that require more than 2 mana.

If you lose life faster than your opponent when running Red, you're doing it wrong. Use Furnace of Rath definitely. It's faster and affects creature.

I like Repurcusion/Starstorm.

Then add in Ensnaring Bridge with that land that gives your opponent 1/1s and you could inadvertently give him 100 useless tokens that are about to die and take their master with them! lol
