Title: Will Mikaeus be in Avacyn Restored?

I was thinking about this the other day. In Innistrad, Mikaeus starts out as the Lunarch, an important character for the "good guys," represented by a  white human legend. In Dark Ascension, humans in general are taking it on the chin, and Mikaeus becomes a black legend, the Unhallowed.

Now, with Avacyn returning in Avacyn Restored, presumably to help bolster the humans left in Innistrad, will Mikaeus be saved by Avacyn? Will we see Mikaeus, the Redeemed as a white legend? Or, if Avacyn is BW, as I suspect she may be, will we see Mikaeus as BW as well, maybe Mikaeus, the Messenger? Or Mikaeus, the Emissary?

I believe only one other character in MTG has had three different cards, that being Crovax: Crovax the Cursed, Ascendant Evincar and Crovax, Ascendant Hero. Will Mikaeus be #2?

Hard to say...speculation points in the right direction, but I'm willing to wager that he will more than likely have a role as more of a mentioned destroyed character. (I.E. Purify = Destroy all bad things to regulate everything). Also I think Avacyn has become a jaded fallen angel demon thingy....

mikaeus wouldn't be the second with 3 cards, alot of planeswakers beat him to it.  In a way one can also say jeska and akroma had 3 cards representing different versions of them.  but i digress

Personal i don't think that Mikaeus will be in AR.  In innstrad he was the last beacon of hope and light, however in DA that light has been extingushed, humanity is on the decline.  He was a messanger and that message was received. What wizards was using him for has been accomplished.  Just based on the name Avacyn will be in restored as a result she will be the one sending the message of hope.

Also for a world like Innstrad the dead coming back to life is not well received, rather it is more desireable to receive the blessed sleep when one dies.  However, the sleep has not been occuring due to the angels absence.  A more fitting destiny for Mikaeus would be to receive the sleep, which would also represet things being restored to normal.  In other words, not having an actual character card but represent by another, such as one called "Burial of the Lunarch"

Also since we are talking speculation-I am thinking that a cured Garrek wil be the third planeswalker or maybe nissa, after all she was following Sorin.  Maybe a I'll help you save your world you help save mine action.  Also vampires are seeing their food suplly dwindle so they fill follow their "Lord" and work with the humans to fight wolves and ghouls

By characters I meant legendary creatures. You're of course correct about the planeswalkers. Good call about Jeska and Akroma though, although they're sort of at 2.33 cards each, if you figure that Karona is Phage, Akroma and some other character whose name escapes me.

MaRo has already announced that this block will have a Planeswalker with five abilities. Since we haven't seen it yet, it will have to be in Avacyn Restored. Who will it be though? Lots of theories out there. I'm also hoping for some more planeswalker story development. All we had in Dark Ascension was the awesome, if slightly misplaced flavour text for Crushing Vines. Will Liliana free herself from the Veil? Will Garruk break his own curse? Will Sarkhan or Nissa show up? What about Dack Fayden or Sifa Grent?

Looking at the various pieces of art already released for Acacyn Restored, namely here , I'm thinking that there will be four legendary angels, each of them white with a second colour. Avacyn will be BW, and the three angels shown here will be WU, RW and GW respectively.

Should be good! I've always loved angels, ever since getting my 4th edition Serra Angel so many years ago.

Garruk has 5 abilities. 2 on the front, 3 on the back.
