Title: It had to be asked (Perspective)

Well...I forgot about doing these for a while due to my current obsession er...slight preoccupation with a certain unnamed third person shooter involving a race of reptillian humanoids and a dying planet (and no it isn't mass effect...because mass effect gets raped by KOTOR...deal with it).

At any rate the question for this time is perspective. Now based on your gameplay type as a planeswalker what would your 'goal' in the multiverse be?(In the flavor sense...please don't be a literalist...it's too early for that this morning).

Based on my gameplay type I would say my goal in the multiverse is to pretty much set it on fire just to watch it burn...or something else chaotic evil like that...anyway...yeah...I'm too tired to be creative at the moment...so there ya go...it's somthing...

I'd find a way to connect the planes, then start an inter-planar war. Whoever came out alive would be part of my new empire, which I'd be indirectly ruling.

(Finding the secret to everlasting life somewhere in there)

My objective would be an establishment of an inter-planar trading cartel to create a multi-versal monopoly. The make use of my control of limited resource to manipulate and control large portions of all reality.

I would be a lone soul who was suffering from belief of meaningless existence, as a result I dedicate myself to becoming the best in all the universes.  Power is the only thing I seek, I care little about social interactions or alliances.  I spend most of my time searching for new pathways, and am always ready to take risks to find more magic.  Though I fight other planeswalkers commonly, I do it solely for the reason to prove that I am the best.

My character has always been the mourning dark soul kind of like in the Ravenloft campaigns where he just wants to be left alone. His plane seems normal and there are normal people living on it who like the benevolent dude living in the castle who doesn't bug them, but people come looking for his power and he has to either Pestilence them to death or summon Eldrazi. I like the idea of people who are on the plane are people who were invaders that have had their mind wiped and are now peaceful citizens.

I am one who follows my own agenda and my own rules. I am always seeking  greater power and seeking to become stronger my alliances are treasured while my enemies fall before me.

It's kind of silly to say that you want more power. Who wouldn't want more power?

I would probably use my power and knowledge to find a way to allow non-planeswalkers to travel between planes. Either that, or I'd work to manipulate the Eldrazi, allow them travel between planes and let them ravage each plane... just to see how powerful they get. And also, to see who can finally destroy them.

Two red decks aside, my main play style is "If-then". Hence I'm rather sure I'd go around from plane to plane setting up booby traps.
I can totally see myself placing a Loxodon Warhammer in the treasury of a Lord of the Pit, whilst having a nearby Awakening Zone, Doubling Season, and Grave Pact in the proximity.
Oh, and yes the sentries to the treasury would be Soldevi Sentries.

In short, I think I'd set up dungeons for adventurers.

Jester: Yeah, basically. But it wouldn't just stop with Mirrodin or Dominaria...

By the way, my apprentice and I would have to kill you all also.

Oh I've got this one. I'd clone one of your guards to tell your apprentice that after interrogating a villager he heard of a weapon said to kill planeswalkers in a single blow. I'd set up a dungeon that's relatively easy, but set up things making me seem just like you. At the end, next to the "Powerful artifact" would be a crystal ball showing me "banishing" you and taking your form.
The artifact would be a plastic spoon (plastic is a rare substance in Mercadia, Rath, and the like, right?)

End result would be that your apprentice would leap out of the shadows poking you with a plastic spoon because of all my illusions. Hooray!

Except for the fact that we would both be powerful Blue mind-mages and see through your tomfoolery.

Yeah, you probably would have to stop me. It would be difficult, to be sure. But, maybe that's what the Multiverse needs.

I'd probably offer assistance...after all...the eldrazi work just as well as fire when it comes to blowing stuff up.

Except for that that the Eldrazi have an agenda. Fire burns all equally.

I would use Eldrazi Conscription to maybe become an Eldrazi/Human planeswalker. That'd be pretty shitty, eh? ;)

You'd more of become an Eldrazi slave. You know what conscription means, right?

Eldrazi bad for business. Discounts on equipment, Darksteel plate swords of Fire and Ice and feast and famine.

Foolish gunslinger, you forget you'd be a planeswalker. Why are you restricting yourself to what your arms can carry? Have four of each float around you (or more if you are running copy artifact or the like).

Or are the planeswalkers of today that nerfed that they have to actually carry stuff?...man, Urza and the Nine Titans could have done it...

hmm...the best part of being a planeswalker is you can hide stuff really easily. Ultimate goal here is to connect two planes and force the citizens of both to serve me. sort of like Nicol Bolas on a bigger scale. On a related note, is it totally impossible that Innistrad and Kamigawa are actually separate regions of the same plane? They have some interesting similarities (heavy spirit intrusion, relative technology levels, etc.)

I don't think so...because they are listed on the site as seperate worlds...but who knows...it's not totally out of the question...

Maybe planes that are "next" to each other share similarities...

Alara used to be the same plane and was close together after separated, but look at how they differed.

Yeah, but they were forced apart and there were a lack of colors in the planes. Maybe that's why.

You can't really use alara as an example of the influnces parallel worlds present each other. All five worlds were damaged in the sundering as a result none of them developed along normal lines.
As for innstrad and kamigawa. The tech can't be comapred for two reasons 1st it seems almost every world has the same tech level. 2nd the stories involving both words occur over 5000 years apart. Even a modest tech increase each year would put current kamigawa decades ahead of innstrad
Also spirit is a generic term given to the unworldly, they could have been given other names like ghost or avatar. the difference between the two, natural vs lingering dead, are two differant to say one influenced the other

Ah, I remember when being a good blue mage was a cool thing. So much for that.

And all you guys with your bickering. Floating arms and joining planes. It's like a daycare in here! Seriously, move up to the big leagues with me! Actually it's kinda boring when you're this good. lol
