Why is
Tarmogoyf worth 60 dollars? I don't see why it is that good.

Well for one it seems pretty broken. If I am reading this correctly you could cast tome scour on turn one, then cast this thing on turn 2 and It's a guaranteed 1/2 at the least, or at best you pay 2 mana for a 5/6. Really I think it's worth so much because of it's low mana cost and it's ability. Just a guess honestly. This thing would be broken in a chaos.

Well it can go 2/3 in 1st turn for 2 mana...
Play fetch land... Lotus petal.. then cast him... then turn 2 it can grow as much as 4/5...
