So, apparently we start our question threads with "It had to be asked" now.

What type of music do you guys listen to? Either while playing MTG or outside of it.

I listen to ALL the music. I can only take certain music in small doses though, mainly Country and Opera. I really enjoy all electronic music though (Electro, Dubstep, House, Hardstyle).

At the risk of oversimplifying Songs from a an anime.

Think Japanese cartoon themesongs.

So, anime just means that there is someone singing in Japanese in the background?

Please don't tell me that you're one of those people who thinks that something is better because it's foreign. . .

No. A lot of anime music is junk most of it is junk. I do however enjoy listening to things (if they are well done) in foriegn languages. For example the Castilian version of Be Prepared from the Lion King is pretty good. There English versions of many anime theme songs and other languages (Italian mostly) its just Japanese is the original language.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TjESKZGzFA&feature=related

Couldn't find the Castillian only version of it, but this is pretty well done.

Okay... That was SO EPIC! I've never heard of that anime before, but now I kind of feel the need to watch it. Even if it does look like Japanese Power Rangers

You know that opera isn't a genre of music right?  (in reality its just like a musical, except the more focused on the music, and much less on the acting).

Personally I mostly listen to metal.  However I also listen to a significant amount of electronica, and alternative rock.  That aside I can enjoy and respect any genre . . . except country.

I seem to be liking metal and rock a lot less than I used to.

I call being the electronic god.

I prefer anything that has to do with clocks, whether it is that one song from Coldplay, or that song by Sting, or Then the Morning Comes by Smash Mouth. Yeah, I know it's weird.

I have the Law and Order theme song (old one of course) for those people that are taking too damned long to make a decision. Obviously I don't play music at tourneys.

Lastly, Rob Zombie's Superbeast is the theme song to my one mana burn deck, meaning it plays in my head as I playtest decks against it. I don't mean like one of those mandatory wrestler intros with pyrotechnics, I'm not THAT pompus and can't afford to pay CMC of 5 with that mana curve.

It seems like everything is on a motorcycle these days. I hear that the new "Yu-Gi-Oh" is even on motorcycles.

I want to set up speakers so that I can play dubstep. Then, as soon as it gets to the drop, BAM, out comes Sharuum and rapes their field.

Playing D&D to Metal Opera can be one of the greatest things ever.

When playing MtG I like to put on some electronica (infected mushrooms namely).

What does "alternative rock" mean anyways?

Although I occasionally enjoy classical and symphonic music, I can't imagine listening to it while playing Magic.
