Even lands and planeswalkers will be sacrificed... No permanent will survive this attack...Although this creature needs shroud... It can be killed by terror or doom blade, etc. because it's not black or artifact... it's just colorless.

There is also spoiled art, having a new Sarkhan, a white planeswalker, a black vampire, possibly a new angel, a new dragon, maybe a new demon, and there's also a huge possibility of more Kor, merfolk, and elves.

And this is why i don't use cards past conflux (not that i have anything against alara reborn, i just don't have any of them) really magic hit it's balence peak at about 7th edition, before that spells were to good, and after that creature became to good

And also after you casted that, you can take an extra turn, it's like you can attack it without waiting for your opponent's next turn to finish... Better than haste because you get an untap step and a draw step...

Emrakul is the most broken card I have seen yet. When you play it, you can take an extra turn. Also, the turn that you get by playing it, you can attack on. Unless your opponent has some mass destruction instant, then you attack, make them sac 6 permanents, and either destroy one of their creatures or deal 15 damage to them.

On another note, I need to buy Everflowing Chalices before RoE comes out.

Can a destruction instant work if it's colored? it has protection from colored spells, so it would make me believe it wouldn't be possible to destroy with a spell if it's colored.

I can deal with the leveling up its the annihilator ability I don't like, mainly cause i don't like how it triggers just by attacking, i feel that it should trigger with combat damage. I personally feel they are to overpowered, and with the accel that seems to be coming with them the heavy mana won't even be a hinderence.

But on another note, especially with this last eldrazi , anyone else feel we will be seeing colorless removal, and i mean destory effects not just damage like ghostfire, and i can see stifle making a comeback with some of these abilities

I was actually considering this same possibility earlier. There MUST be colorless destroy spells. The only thing other than that and mass destruction I could think of would be creatures with destroy abilities.. Would this work against it?

yeah, creatures are not spells their permanants , so a creature or enchantment with a destroy effect, like avatar of woe, would work. as will a deathtouching pinger

Ghost Fire isn't completely bad.

I think that they will make some colorless spells that exile cards. That way they are not shuffled back into the library.

I am going to be using the Orb of Insight to find how many of different kinds of cards there are. Note that the number is the number of times that the card appears in everything (including flavor text).

Works well in a G/R deck since you can tap all your lands, then attack and repeat. Use all the mana for a Banefire or Wolfbriar Elemental..

Hey everyone, its been a long while. Been doing lots of tournement play in my area and focusing on some other things.

To this thread I am here to post one opinion on this set (which is a colaberation of several ideas):

I HATE this set and everything that Wizards of the coast has turn MAGIC into with it.

They intend to create new tribes and breathe new life into this deck type (aka vampire and ally). Then instead of progressing this they drop ally completely from the Rise of eldrazi set and make Vampire more overpowered. I do not foresee ally to come back for a long time honestly.

Also, how can anyone stomach the invasion of Yughio and Pokemon tactics in this Great Game. I have the taste of sh#! in my mouth by seeing this. If i wanted to play those games i would go out and spend the money on them so i could play them. The thing is i do not want to waste my time and money on children games. Lets face it Magic is for a young but slightly older group of people in comparison to the others. First they come out with trap cards......nothing more than what most of us have been doing with instance and interrupts for years now. Seriously you have to make a whole new card type for this. I could take this and barely accept this. Now they show that they have creatures that will level up.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes i spend lots of extra mana to achieve a more massive creature with better abilities to end up having my opponent to Path to exile, Journey to Nowhere, Oblivion Ring, Doomblade, Lightning Bolt, Boomerange, Bounce, ect. It is pointless at all levels of play.

To further my complaints:

Is it just me or is anyone else tired of these small card sets. I want another Ice Age size set or sets. Did i miss out on some event that took place in my years of being out or did wizards downsize RnD. Set after set i see have some playable and decent cards, but a ton of crap that seems tossed in just as filler.

LOL, he was talking about the Trap cards of Yugi oh! that triggers when a certain event happens... Same mechanics as MtG's trap cards... So we all assume that it is somewhat of a copy to Yugi OH!'s trap cards...

Level up creatures of MtG is somewhat different from the Level up creatures of Yugi Oh! or Pokemons....

I don't know much about Yugi Oh! but I think you need to with for the next turn to Level up a level up creature in Yugi Oh! or you need a level up of the creature.

While for Pokemon TCG, you need an evolution card... I played Pokemon when i was young so i'm much more familiar with Pokemon TCG compared to Yugi Oh!

Roe is about 245 cards so was zendikar, ww was about 150. Ice ages was about 350, as was urza saga, odessey, ravinica and alot of the early sets especially the 1st of the block

I was playing pokemon many years ago :P As for the leve up cards, I liked the concept. The thing I do not like is the Eldrazi and those are the ones who remind me of Yu-Gi-Oh. The one with the biggest meanest momnster in their deck will win. And before you all start, yes I know there are plenty of ways to get rid of the Eldrazi and any other similar god-like creature but thats not the point. I can think of a hundrend ways to subdue an Eldrazi but at the same time I could think of a thousand ways to do the same thing for Phage, Akroma, Darksteel Titan etc etc! The point of Magic is not to have 1 single monstrocity who is going to reign supreme once its down and win you the game, but to have a strategy that will create a winning situation through smart and complex steps. Those huge badass monsters like the Eldrazi and Mr. Progenitus remind me of Yu-Gi-Oh alot! Simplifying the game and stupidifying it are 2 different things. Get a grip Wizards.

I am a casual player (I hardly play actually, mostly I like building decks in Magic Workstation and making cards of my own) but I believe I still have a saying when it comes to the game.

Really what bugs me the most, is that these are colorless. In early magic, blue was the power-house color (It was) then around urza's onslaught, it switched to green beyond that, white kind of gained some power but it mostly stuck with green, now their abandoning any color being powerhouse.

Either things are as I thought they where (tokens don't go to the graveyard thus they don't triger such abilities) or yes you gain infinite mana from this card. As for Wizards of the Coast and for the other counter card (not of this world) I have only 1 thing to say. /Facepalm.

Ooh yeah it says nontoken. Ok that saves it. Unless there is a card that changes key words. I think there was a blue one whos name I don't remember, but I don't know if it can change the word nontoken to token. If it can then we just made a new 2 card infinite mana combo.

As I recall, Phage is the corrupted version of Jeska (Barbarian Shaman, related to Kamahl I think)

She kills Ixidor's girlfriend in the Cabal's arena fights so he goes a bit nuts and creates Akroma

Akroma and Phage fight a few times but something happens and they fuse together to form Karona (or Karoma in the novel iirc)

Karoma eventually gets defeated and Karn extracts Jeska and activate her planeswalker's spark.

(I think this is correct, it's been ages since I read those books)

As verus Phage who if she went into the sun would get such a bad burn her skin would be infrared. (I know thats scientifically impossible) If limited to akroma and phage akroma, my favorite female legend would have to be jaya-ballard task mage though.
