A question has plagued drug lords and parents for centuries, WHAT IS IN MY BUDGET YA'LL LITTLE PUNK AS-

Okay maybe I was stretching it...but the analogy remains.

What is your price range for a budget deck and why?

I believe in spending no more than 50$ on a  deck. It gives me a challenge and makes me monitor my choices much closer than normal.

I haven't bought any cards in a long time. . .or acually played Magic for that matter, but my budget is about the same as yours, if not less.

Hard to say.

I've been playing since Revised so if I build a deck and happen to use my multilands, do I count them as $50 cards or what they originally cost me waaaaaay back then (when we used dial up for internet) when the packs were even cheaper than they are now?

The only time I'll buy a card for a deck I'm making or already have is for EDH. But then, the budget is inherently skewed higher because of the format.

My deck will be put together on the smallest budget available. My archer deck sits at the record for me having bought every card (except the basic land) at 8 dollars for the whole thing. Typically though I won't buy new cards to build new decks.

Hey, DyingJester, our avatars have the same color scheme!

Or opposite.

I haven't bought any cards since I lost my job. But before that I got paid every 2 weeks and I spent $40 out of each paycheck on cards.

Depends, I normally try to stay away from cards more than $5, but i figure i could spend about $50 on a satisfying deck
Although as soon as Dark Acsension comes out ill prolly spend about 200-300 dollars on cards

If you invest 100 dollars a month from age 18, you can easily become a millionaire.

I only play casually among friends, so my budget is usually $10-$20 per deck. I'll never spend more than $5 on a card.

I've thought about going back to Magic Online, just because it's so ludicrously cheap. I built decks for $2-4 each. Of course, it's pretty frustrating when my Scrib Nibblers / Hedron Crabs mill deck gets owned by Jaces, Wurmcoil Engines, Emrakuls, and Grave Titans, but it was damn amusing whenever it won.
