Indeed. I see it going 4 maybe 5 total seasons. With a quality dip in the middle of the third. Then a big revival at the end of the last season that makes everyone miss it.

Anyone good at drawing? I need help drawing the legs of my OC. This is what I have so far.

I'm no artist. But my recomendation would be to widen the base of your hooves and probably the whole legs a little

The distinctive problem I see with the story is Pinkie immense care of not hurting people (where she insisted that Dash doesn't prank Fluttershy because it would hurt her). Though as a general rule of thumb I have never been able to get into fan-fics (even normal ones) they never can truly capture what they're based off of.

Babycakes leaves me pondering things...Such as...How the buck does 2 earthponies have twins that are each a different race. The only thing I can think of is that being either a Unicorn or a Pegasus is a recessive trait. This is how i theorize it.

Earth Pony + Earth Pony

50% chance the child will be an Earth Pony

50% chance the child will be a recessive race (I.E. Pegasus or Unicorn).

With a 50% of the child being either pegasus or unicorn.

Now I speculate it works differently for each species...but I think this is how it would go for Earth Ponies...at either rate the new data allows me to spice up my fanfic a little more...

Metal isn't really overhyped (It's just getting an unbiased opinion that's difficult). To be honest I dislike many different metal bands (Mettalica, AC/DC, and Korn being the top offenders). While I love Disturbed, Devildriver, and Megadeth (Back in the day FTW!). It's just a matter of what message you like to hear. Behavior and mood can be influenced by music in many ways....

Also twogun you should check out Dead to the World by Nightwish. They're keyboardist is incredible.

*although when AC/DC first came out hard rock was a "thing" so the only appropriate genre was metal, though based on current standards they fall dead short.

Damn...puts stuff into perspective ya know. Makes you do the whole what if my folks died thing...really makes you fill the whole other people got it worse vibe.

As far as stories go...it had a sense of hopelessness about it. A sort of there's nothing we can do about it feel...

The bit of humor at the end...well...it works. Makes the reader get a slight chuckle in without distracting from the overall feel of the story. I'm not normally a fan of slice of life style stuff, so I gotta give it a 3/5 (Now please note that is a biased opinion, due to several reasons, I am no fan of the whole broken family thing. Mostly because I have dealt with some of the same issues the characters have in the story and it annoys the hell out of me to be reminded of those years of my life. That aside it probably deserves a 4/5). All in all a good piece of writing.

I write the actual story in that time. I have a notebook full of ideas one liners and fairly detailed outlines. I'm not some mega author that can create at will (That would be pretty awesome if I could though). My ideas for fanfics tend to develop over a few weeks.

i read at a college level in the 4th grade. every once in a while i'll find a book to read, but it's safe to say that i burned myself out of readiing way to early. i would probably still read if i had a library like twilight's.

and required reading is shit.

@Turbine There are plenty of good books. I would defenitely recommend some older stuff, don't know if you've read the three musketeers or the Count of Monte Cristo but Dumas is pretty good

(megadeath n : the death of a million people; "they calibrate the effects of atom bombs in megadeaths")

I'm still in the research stages. I can't find a library with modern mtg novels. So unless its a weatherlight based crossover (which would be fun. i've never read the books for that block, and no bookstore i've been to has them. i only know vague details and bits and pieces of what i've read online. your best bet is to check into it on the mtgsalvation wiki.

you could easily use the time rift theme to mix the two series. it could be really cool.
