This is in reference to turbine's combo of necrotic ooze, phyrexian devourer, and triskellion. For the devourer, the errata is now:
9/22/2011 "Phyrexian Devourer's first ability continually checks its power as a state trigger. Once it triggers, it won't trigger again as long as the ability is on the stack. If the ability is countered and the trigger condition is still true, it will immediately trigger again. If the ability resolves, you'll have to sacrifice Phyrexian Devourer even if its power has been reduced to 6 or less by then."
So my question is, now that the errata makes no mentions of its activated ability, does this make the combo work?

The errta might not mention the ability by name but that doesn't mean that it does not have an activated ability.
activated abilitys are defined by the text (cost : effect) in this case... Exile the top card of your library: Put X +1/+1 counters on Phyrexian Devourer, where X is the exiled card's converted mana cost. is the activated ability
so since it still has an activated ability the ooze can gain it, so the combo still works
