Adding doubling season to earthcraft+squirrel nest does not make it more infinite! Adding psychosis crawler to niv+curiosity does not make it more infinite! Stop adding in extra cards that dont matter so that you can post an old combo!
On a quasirelated note, you can also stop putting rings of brighthearth in combos with abilities! Yes, we know it copies abilities! Rings + basalt monolith is a combo! Rings + chameleon colossus is NOT a combo!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only time I've ever seen Pinkie post in an age-old thread is when idiots (no, I will not censor myself because it's sadly true) like Boyachi dredge them up first. As for the combos everyone knew, she was just trying to refill the database—you do know that combos get deleted from time to time, right? And furthermore, when she posts a combo, the combos actually do exactly what they say on the tin compared to some people's (read: your) combos. Let's look at a few examples, shall we?

How about "Sure, you can borrow my commander"? You essentially give your opponents a 13/13 creature to use against you (what's that? "You never considered that your opponent could just Fling Karona at you, or Swords to Plowshares it for their own gain?"); and the meat of your combo is just one card and every single land card. You couldn't just put one extra card as filler and then what's necessary in the comments—no, you had to pad it out with every land card, which served absolutely no purpose. Shall we go on?

"Reworking an oldie but goodie"... again, useless padding; it would have been enough to have Dark Ritual and the Dreadnought in there followed by the Orb in the comments, but you added two Swamps (you don't even need two!), whose use is clearly implied and unnecessary... and need I add that it's been done to death at this point?!

Here's one aptly named "Duh"—it's a Phyrexian Obliterator and a General's Regalia. That's it; that's the whole fucking combo. A Fiery Conclusion could take out your Obliterator, and then whatever creatures I have left could make mincemeat of you. You know what would be smart? Giving it some indestructibility... "duh".

"Cast anything you want for almost free"? Again, more useless padding; Dream Halls and a Painter's Servant in itself is a combo—most everything else is either unnecessary or useless. And while you're thinking of cards to add to make your combo better, why don't you add something so you don't mill yourself to death, genius? Maybe a Feldon's Cane or an Elixir of Immortality...?

While we're at it, should I bring up how you tried to correct my math on a combo not ten minutes ago and failed to do that? The point here is, you shouldn't talk about people doing something you don't understand, and unfortunately there are a great many things you don't seem to understand completely. It doesn't matter to me if someone thinks I'm harsh, cruel or out of line for saying this; I'm just calling it as I see it.

We're not seeing eye to eye. I'm a newcomer, you are a veteran. I don't know how this site looked like when you got here, but when I got here, it was set up not like a forum, but like a database. Here are the reasons why I assumed such:
1) The first thing other than the logo that is at the top of the page is a search box that tells the user to search "cards & combos" and leaves out anything like "the forum" or "posts". In fact, the user is incapable of using this search box to look through noncombo posts.
2)This sight is in English. English users look in a left to right and up to down fashion. "Submit A Combo" is before "Forums" and "Newest Combos" is before "Newest Topics" (which includes both forum threads and combos).
3) There is no list for ONLY the newest (noncombo) forum posts on the front page.
4)The user is able to search for cards, reinforcing the database/wiki feel.
5)The banner in the forums reads "The Ultimate Resource for Combos and Strategy" not "The Ultimate Forums for Combos and Strategy".

Yes, I admit that on my FIRST POST I included snow covered mountains. I own up to that being overkill. However when I used Darksteel Plate it was absolutely necessary to make the combo reusable, otherwise the combo would be simplified to Nevinyrral's Disk. I'm certain that we all agree one card does not make a combo.

I was actually thinking the same thing as PinkiePie. I just didn't post it. I also tried to check how old posts were when I responded to them after I was called out on it (by you, Gregorius). Mentioning my name was bloody overkill. PinkiePie didn't even mention E-n-S by name. If you don't want "idiots like Boyachi" running amok in your "forums" then you seriously need to lobby to change how the site looks, because even if I throw a tantrum and leave, others will come and see the same five things I pointed out and make that same "idiot" mistake that I did.

Well I'm at it, can I get some rules of engagement here? The reason I posted on Squillis's combo was because I didn't want to look like I was stealing the credit by adding extra cards, especially since I was aiding win-condition not the actual combo (aside arguably from Essense Warden).

Don't get me wrong, I understand that many of you think that this site is a forum above all else. Good for you! I don't think it is, for the reasons I already said. If you want me and others to believe you, make the change over AND give us some forum rules. EVERY OTHER forum that I've been on has had forum rules. With the special type that you have here (from your POV) you need stickied rules or a rule link or something that let's people know that you are serious about being a forum.

Your site is called MTG Combos. If you don't want people adding RoB to everything tell them that at the get go and perhaps make a special section for single cards that combo well that shouldn't be added to combos in the future, such as: RoB, Tolarian Academy, Isochron Scepter, Power Artifact, Sneak Attack, etc. Nip it in the bud before they do it!

Ok I'm going to add my two cents

There is nothing wrong with bringing old combos back for review, we can all learn from them and utilize them, especially when we update them with current card selections

Just because you know a combo doesn't mean everyone does.  I remember when someone once posted relentless rats/thrumming stone, and everyone was like this is awsome, and I'm sitting there going " umm this has been around for years", we all have differant experiences and depths we involve ourselves into the magic world, and as a result have differant ideas of "common" combos.

This depth of knowledge also defines what we each consider to be a combo. As we develop in the game we form ideals on what we consider to be a combo, but we need to remember they are only our personal ideals, and that not everyone shares them.  But that doesn't mean that they are wrong, there is no clearcut defination of what a combo is, and we should still respect each others opinions even if we don't agree.  There are many combos on this site that I do not think are good, but that doesn't mean I don't consider them to be combos, or that I need to call them out on it.

As for taking a combo and adding a card, nothing wrong with exploring the options.  Besides we are all guilty of doing that and should call ourselves on it before calling out others.

And to add one thing.  There have been times when I have seen combos posted that obviously are based on another combo sharing the first page.  Now there is nothing wrong with taking, stealing, and improving an idea, its how our society developed, but at the least if your sharing the first page with the orignal throw out a bone and give out some credit.

The point is we all make mistakes. Especially when we first log on. It doesn't let me search all posts or i'd find what ever dead thread she revived also.

Listen, Pinkie, You posted some very good combo's, and a few not so good ones earlier. You grew, and got a lot better. But stop YELLING at people or being condescending.

Submitting a combo can be rough, everyone starts judging it. Which is what they are suppose to do. If you have questions, rules or otherwise, fine. Suggestions, sure. But chewing ppl out for making the same mistakes WE'VE ALL MADE AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER is to much. Give people a chance to grow.

PS. i with ger on this one. If some posts some you don't like ignore it. But, some of these attitudes need to stop.

Is it just me, or do we go through this phase with each new batch of newbies to the site (not to imply newbies to the game)??? I don't post much, but I've been on for a while (way before even the infamous pinkie) and I've noticed a reoccuring theme... perhaps there is something we could do about it?? I remember the pinkie bash, the mechanistlegend bash, whoever has the chuck norris avatar (sorry, I can't remember your screen name off the top of my head) and now it's going again... I personally say: it's a game, we play for fun, and while granted some combos are... ineffective or illegal (such as my first one, lol) most combos (and comments) are relevant, and interesting. Plus, seeing different versions of the same combo CAN be helpful, due to the fact that selling point of magic (at least in my eyes) is it's versatility. finding new ways to do old favorites. :) There that should about do it for my two cents.

It does tend to happen. Newbie will arrive, newbie will dredge/troll, people flip out (understandable if newbie trolls) Newbie is either driven away or becomes entrenched part of community. Repeat.

Thinking back I seem to remember everyone hating two-gun when he first joined, with the always exception gericult.  And I remember there were a lot of people that were generally hated, with gericult's voice of reason constantly trying to tell us not to be mean, yet we never seem to listen. . .

EDIT: Maybe I don't understanded exactly the question... the fact is: english is my third language, so.... i'm kinda of accustomed to see the members of the site correcting my grammar, and sometimes is really hard to realize when one member is using sarcasm.
So, Turbine, are my "laughed" writed wrong, or are you questioning if I have laughed of your replies in Mechanists posts? Because if is this, yes, I laughed much times with it.
