Tell me what color or colors are you most comfortable playing with and describe a little the strategy you like using the most that satisfies your pleasure to the game in a Legacy format point of view...and why?

Me for example, isn't a surprise obviously. Blue is mine because no matter what the situation is, I'm all about overall game control, I like to slow down the game early on to eventually take over everything my opponent has to offer me!!! Draw, discard, play spell, tap or untap, counter and shuffle graveyard into library. That's the strategy I like using.

How bout you guys???

I go for green beat down most of the time but i'm open for control... I had a Black-blue Discarder deck... And blue-green mill deck... but most of my deck are green beatdown since onslaught with elves and beast... My M10 beatdown is a little short on cards since i'm not buying anymore cards now... For zendikar i have a landfall beatdown ... I wonder what beatdown deck will i have in worldwake? HMMMM...

I can never go wrong with my mono-blue Dream Halls/Mind Over Matter deck. It's by far my most succesful deck I've built. If most players can't do anything to me at around the fourth turn, they will probably never see a turn again and most of their permanents will be controlled by me. I enjoy it immensely.

I'm not a big fan of green beatdowns, although I can always give it a shot. I still have my Blue-Black mill deck which is probably my second choice deck because aside from milling the library I could actually remove them all from the game most of the times. And the cards are more recent which might of made it to extended but with exception of a couple of cards that drops it down to legacy unfortunetly...

All of my decks include old new baned and anycardicanfind. I know there are things like Standard, Legacy and others but i have too many cards to care or even think of making them tourny legal.

With that i love all things Token, elves and sapps fit me best but i like my birdy deck too. I too have a black blue mill deck(Who doesnt? for mill is blue) The single color that fits all my litle likes is blue, it has oposition......its like glare of subduel but better. My green blue deck is graft creature steel. Of course i have a counter spell deck too. Um yes

(PS nothing beats a pure red goblin deck running four goblin gernades)

Red and Black hands down. My Reala deck is simple to use and very fun in a chaos. Though not always succesful. You tend to make a lot of people annoyed when you continually cast pyroclasm while eveyone else is playing elves and kithkin. But it works great in one on one games. I play red and black because of the removal, but mostly it's just fun to force your opponent to discard as many cards as possible.

I don't really like to base my playchoice with color, but if I had to, I'd say green. Green is the perfect form of mana, and I don't like using a deck without it. Blue is good, but it's really not good for creatures. In fact, most of the good blue creatures are also artifact creatures. Black can be deadly, but can also be slow if you don't put Dark Rituals in every one. Red is very much the same way unless you are rolling quick burn, but they burn out very easily. White just has too many good cards, and they are too costly. In my opinion, Green is the most balanced card color. It works perfectly between mana, creatures, spells, and enchantments. My favorite use of Green is Upwelling/Mana Reflection. the perfect source of mana build. after that you could get Omnath, Shielding Plax, and Primal Rage to build a massive creature. Or you could roll Fungus, which has been around too long. Treefolk are very broken, given that they can roll fast early. Also, Elves.

I play every color except for black. The only black I use is in my Esper deck. However, I seem to be more oriented to green. The last 2 FNMs I played a Naya deck and a Green/Blue Landfall deck.

I don't know if you guys would agree but i think green is for less experienced players and alike. Let me explain why i think that.

There are 3 main reasons:
1. Low cost creature cards or spells and mana boost.
2. When I'm teaching a new player and when I was taught to play MtG, my friend (He taught me MtG) used a mono green beatdown deck. I also used a mono green beatdown deck, because most of the concepts of magic is in there.
3. Creature-based / Almost a no brainer concept (Just attack and hopefully win by damaging your opponents).

I have to disagree mainly because I can say white for #1 and #3, and #2 can't count since it is a personal preference, I was taught to play using a 5c sliver deck and I teach with a BU deck.  And actually for #3, that can be any color deck.

Color choices arn't based on experience in the game but rather ones inherent traits or what they are trying to do.  My wife for example mostly builds decks that have green in it.  This does not mean she is inexperienced, she has been playing for years, she understands the mechanics and when to play,  i remember one game we played she had a wild leotau on the field and then droped at sigil captain, i was like um ok haven't seen a 1/1 in one of her decks in years, and then at the end of my turn she plays mercy killing, saccing her leo, so instead of 5 1/1 she gets 5 3/3's and then on her turn plays overrun and I'm toast.  hardly the work of someone inexperienced.  She plays green because it works with her general play style which is "I'm going to run over you"

I personally gravitate more to the RB area, i like the speed of red with the removal/discard elements of black.  Basically the whole I don't want you in my way when I attack, train of thought.

All colors (especially brown), really... My favorite tactic, on the other hand, is graveyard/upkeep shinanigans. My current decks are 1.5 (led-less) dredge, and 1.x Queller-stax. I've also got a couple of casual decks, like RB reanimator and UG landless...

I started with playing mono-green, and I still have a soft spot for the fabulous synergy, but as time went on, I went to White/Black-green, and from there, to mono-black, to black-blue, to blue-white, to black-white... Every slice of the pie (and any mix thereof), I've enjoyed at some time or other.

Edit: DyingJester... Reala, as in Reala from NiGHTS into Dreams?

Well I was first taught by playing with a green/red deck, that was basically composed of cheap creatures and basic burn spells. Which in time, my interest went to Blue/Black. Now mostly is either mono-blue control or U/B removal milling decks. But for intro to the game I think green or red is the way to go, but from then on you pick your style of play with time.

My favorite color, is either green, blue or white.  Blue I love due to the card advantage that you can gain (almost all the blue decks I have rely on this(i have like 7)though the powerhouses found there are really fun too) White and green because they make great speed

Because of these card mostly (i play with mostly 5th-6th edition cards

I didn't say that green deck are for inexperienced players only... I'm just saying that green decks seems to be the stepping stone for learning or inexperienced players...

It almost sounds as if your views on green are biased, shakii. Green is, by far, not the easiest type of deck to play. In fact I'd say it's one of the hardest. There are so many good green cards, A newbie would end up making a bad deck because he doesnt have any synergy in his deck. One of the first decks I ever played against was blue, and I started with a red/green deck. Can't remember exactly what it was like, but it focused on a different assortment of cards. The deck sucked, frankly. I believe the simplest decks to play would be slivers and artifacts, simply because a baby could use slivers and do something, and artifacts are colorless, so Mana isn't that much of a worry. Anyway, this topic isn't even about what deck is easiest to play, so if you believe this should be brought up, make another thread.

"Dark Banishing."

Always fun.
