I have been playing Magic for years now, but until now I never really payed any mind to summoning sickness. Now here's the ? When does it end, the beginning of the turn, the untapped step or your upkeep ? More over if I played a creature in your turn does it have the sickness all though my turn, I say no but I really want a answer to all of this. Please don't mock me for something like this, I may have an idea that's deeper than I think. Please help.

Oh, your name is punk, your not calling me a punk...anyway, a creature has summoning sickness until it has gone through one of its owners untap phases.  So if you play a creature on your opponent's turn, it will be ready to attack on your turn.  Remember that summoning sickness applies when control changes, so if you dominate a creature on your turn, you won't be able to attack with it.

What Lin said—in layman's terms, you can't attack with creatures you've put on the battlefield that turn until after the beginning of your next turn (after your upkeep and draw step).

My question to you is "how do you play Magic for years, and not know the basics of something as fundamental as summoning sickness?".

I believe he knew the basics of summoning sickness, "you can't attack with a creature you just put into play" but didn't really know the details of it, this happens a lot in casual magic groups that don't have a rules junkie, each player teaches the new ones the rules is the simplest way possible, so they never really know the full details.

Ah... well, that's understandable. Then again, you and I explained it both concisely and comprehensively. It didn't take us any more than a sentence each.

I have been playing for years I accepted that I could not use the creature I put into play until my next turn, but it's in what step does the sickness goes away. Until of late I didn't care when I could use my creature as long as it was in my main phase but now I'm thinking of cards like paradox haze and if I could give my creatures haste in a way because of the upkeep.

To put your mind to rest; there is no "phase" it goes away. The rules say you must control a creature since the start of your turn, or it has summoning sickness (From now on refer to as "SS"). There is no phase you could skip so your creatures or an opponents kept "SS". Even if some one played something like time stop (End the current turn immeadately) at the first available spot on your turn, any creatures you cast on the previous turn would no longer have "SS". Think of it like this, if you started the last turn you had with it, it doesn't have "SS".

Ok my thought is if I have 2 paradox haze out, and cast a creature with flash in the middle of the upkeeps could I give that creature a fake haste? That's why I wanted to know when does "SS" end. If I'm understanding this right no matter what u have to wait 1 whole turn I got that down but in all the rules I have been searching I have not seen when the "SS" ends. I'm not trying to be stupid. I'm trying to think bigger on different steps in the game that is all. Thanks to you all for trying to help, even in this forum I got two answers 1 at the beginning of the upkeep, the other at the start of the turn.
Please tell me if I'm missing something.

I don't think anyone mentioned the start of upkeep... the untap step was mentioned but that's different.

Anyway, 'summoning sickness' leaves at the start of your own turn. Having paradox haze out for multiple upkeeps does nothing to change that.

(also note that all permanents have summoning sickness - it's just that it only has an effect on creatures. This is important for animating effects etc. e.g. if you play a land and animate it with a Zendikon, it can't attack or tap for mana because of summoning sickness)

That being said... I think you have played too many Yugi-Oh! TCG matches to tell the difference...
