As I said in MODERATORS... lol:
In my opinion, some good things that could be possible to do in this site is a "search combo". Instead of search something only with the name of a card, I think if some new "filters" became added to the searchs... that could helps. NEW FILTERS:

1 - In the moment of post something, an add of a filter to identify if something is a combo, synergy, deck, questions, others.

2 - After classified what is the type of the post, if is a combo or synergy, classify what this combination do: damage, mana, tokens, flying, destroy and so on, and define if is limited or infinite.

3 - A simple filter with the colors of the combination/decks.

Im not ordering this XP, but I think that simple things like this would be a great upgrade in this site, just my opinion... :)

I think the synergy/combo filter whatever thing would be really hard to do automatically! I think there should be check boxes or something for what our combo is!

I mean that the classification of what is combo, synergy, deck, infinite, limited, etc. would be maked in the moment of posting, by the member , not  automatically. After the post of the member, the database would separate the post according to what the member specified.
Ex:
BOX CLASSIFICATION: Synergy
BOX WHAT DO: Damage
BOX COLOURS: Red/Black
BOX CONTINUITY: Limited
This could be used with some things like "Advanced Search" and at the moment of someone is posting or writing a combo, question, deck, etc.

The colors and continuity could probably be done automatically!

I think there should be sub-areas for combos. STANDARD and NON-STANDARD.

I think an easy way to do that would be setting up a keyword/tags situation. Make a combo, add so keywords so that way you can filter combo searches better. It might be nice to have a section where people can contact moderators if they so choose. And I definitely think a deck section would be nice.

And as always, a deck section would be nice as well.

Also, could we keep three or four columns? One for combos, one for forums, one for decks, and the other... I dunno, Dying's randomly roaming ravings of really revented revenues?

The trouble with any sort of tagging is how you deal with all the combos already on the site, you can't magically poof on tags.

You'd have to allow people to be able to add tags to old combos i guess.

A place to enter bugs (e.g. cards that don't seem to be in the database) would be good.

I like the Decks Forum.

I would like the site to be able to have that feature where you can just "mouse" over the name of the card (in posts)and it will show the pic of the card (like at MTGcommander).

@ Twogun and Turbine: Yeah, I know. I guess I'm just a "standard" snob. Ya ho! Okay, I'm no Jester, but that was funny!

Could have the Combos section then have the sub-sections... standard, extended, legacy, etc.

It would have to be updated regularly... but maybe the new mod could do that. ;)
