Title: It had to be asked (Impact of Innistrad)

As we approach the dawn of a new willenium, with the arrival of a fresh prince...oh wait wrong script...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Ahem...as we enter the new innistrad set we must ask ourselves? What format am I playing in and how does this affect me? Now the casual crowd (consisting probably of just me and 2-3 other oddballs.) probably don't give a kobold one way or the other (unless it's a shiny kobold...because shinies are awesome...) But still it would be interesting to hear of innistrad's impact on a person's gameplay...so here is my question....

How does innistrad affect your main deck and if you play in a particular format, how does it effect said format for you in a positive and/or negative way?

I personally am kinda p@ssed at innistrad...from a standard pov...I want my duress and pyroclasms back....T^T...but alas it helped me...in no way at all from a standard pov...

From a modern pov...It didn't affect me at all...Affinity Rules 8D!

From a casual pov...hell yeah! Let's roll out the vamps mutherf@#kers! That's right it's time to get necro up in dis piece forrizzles yo!

And on a side note....

       Anime Cleavage                         Normal Cleavage

(  Y  )      (  Y  )

And Now you know...and knowing is half the battle...the other half is shooting somebody...

I'm a casual nutjob. As such I will be building decks to abuse rooftop storm. Conspiracy+Channel+Gemstone Array+Storm=-14 life+forest and spirit guide=2 eldrazi. On a side note other than extended where grimgrin will be king Im not going for anything other than casual right now

Agreed. Shinies are awesome.

Wait, MTG relevance. . .Innistrad doesn't look anything special.

Relevance, I'm not sure yet. But I can say I really like the flavor. I'll be using it for a lot of theme-based casual decks.

sweet!! I played at the gadsden innistrad release and won the sealed deck tournament last night. The flash back was amazing. I forgot how much fun it was after so long.  the flip cards are alot cooler than i thought they'd be. Then i had some casual play with friends. we ran our post rotation decks and the impact on standarad will be very entertaining. My favorite was "Bump in the Night" its the black lightning bolt. lol        This should be a fun year for standard.

p.s. Good Bye Caw Blade!! wahoo!

speaking of snapcaster whats with the high value? He's not so great that he should cost more than top tier mythics (not that I'm complaining since I pulled one)

It's like Dark Confidant...

You know a player's experienced if they say the card's good.
You know a player's a newb if they say it isn't very useful.

Its a nice card. I'd still take Dralnu lich lord. I just dont see it as a 30-102 dollar card

I just want to correct you on one seemingly important thing—knowing is half the battle, but the other half isn't necessarily shooting someone... the other half is equal parts red and blue lasers. Whether they hit something or not is left up to the gods of chance.

Thank you for noticing that...though I honestly thought the crude anime vs. normal cleavage joke would stop people from noticing...

I must commend you sir! well done...

Or like Fetchlands. I used to think they were bad, then I learned.

I think they are overpriced too, their best use in EDH to find dual lands.

Legacy: No effect at all on the format

Modern: No effect at all on the format

Standard: Gives new dual lands for oppossing colors and dual lands for ajoining colors. Spoiled new players....they will never now what it is like to wait 5 turns for that one land in a three color deck.

I see this getting some play in standard and modern.              taking the place of disfiure.
