Title: Persist vs. Haunt

Just a simple ruling question....if anyone knows this without doubt, please lemme know.

Let's say I have a Puppeteer Clique in play, along with a Power Conduit.... (the conduit is obviously to remove its persist counter upon dying)

If I play something like Cry of Contrition, haunting my Puppeteer.....when the puppeteer dies, persist brings it back into play.....does the Cry of Contrition continue to haunt the puppeteer or does the haunt lose its target after the graveyard ability resolves the first time?

When the puppeteer goes to the grave 2 triggers will occur the persist and the haunt.  Target player will discard and puppeteer will return to play.

However the haunt will not return to play, when a creature changes zones (other then phasing) it is considered to be a new object, with knowledge of the past.  it won't have any of its previous pumps, aura's, or equipment  attached to it.  This includes haunts

Ok so I have a 2/2 creature with persist.

He has a -1/-1 counter on him already.

Does adding a +1/+1 counter cancel out the -1/-1 counter OR are both counters left on the creature?

Those counters would cancel each other out and both are removed.  ;)
